April 15th test n tune @ Martin, MI

Ok, I had bad luck on April 8th and was not able to make it. I will most likely be there this saturday, the 15th with my Duster and Spirit. The daytona can't make it due to a bad turbo.

The day kinda sucked, I only got 2 runs in with the duster, and about 3 with the spirit. It was packed, and I didnt get the duster there until the last hour. At least the weather was nice.

The spirit ran 16.7s then a 16.60 @ 82.5 mph. The short times were 2.4s. Not bad for an untuned stock spirit with the 3.0L 3 speed.

Now for the duster. I didnt get time to practice launches with the new clutch, so 60 fts were kinda crappy for that car. I had to remove the bumper cover in order to get the car on Jason's tow dolly. I didn't have time to re install it, so I believe it hurt aerodynamics, whcih didnt allow me to get a good trap speed. I could have screwed up the 3rd to 4th gear shift as well. Here are its numbers. I am rounding to the nearest hundredth since I dont have the time slips handy.

60 ft: 2.24
330: 6.0XX
1/8: 9.2 or 9.3? @ 77.0
1/4: 14.44 @ didn't show, i was pissed

60: 2.16
330: 5.9XX
1/8: 9.1XX @ 77.5
1/4: 14.347 @ 94.33

Not too bad for the first runs of the season.

I'll be there again next saturday if the weather holds up. Hopefully I'll be able to get several runs in with the duster.
