Hey, Im planning a few upgrades for my shelby charger in the near future. Im set on getting a ported exhuast manifold, garrett T2 turbo, and a BIG FMIC... However Im debating on whether or not its worth shelling out the cash for a 2-piece intake.. Im looking for efficiency with the car and the ability to rev a little higher... The engine is a stock 2.5L at 12 PSI...

Will the 2-piece make much of a difference when I upgrade all of this?

Thoughts and opinions are appreciated!

oh 2.5 liter LOVES the 2 piece. I always read of people saying the 2.5 can't rev past 5200rpms. My 1st round of a 2.5 setup it liked 5700rpms shifts, 2nd round of mods pushed that to 6000, now it like to hit the 7200rpm rev limter. I think the 2 piece was the key in getting it to like 6000rpms on a stock long block with a ported exhaust manny, 3" exhaust and a cummins I/C. Then I modded the 2 piece like this http://www.pnw-sdac.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=3587 and that's alot to do with why it likes to hit the rev limter now.

I thought about the same thing when I purchased mine. That for my power goals a freshened up 1 piece would be just fine. But then one came along for sale at a dam near giveaway price compared to what I've seen some advertised for lately and temptation got the best of me.

Dont regret it a minute. especially after I got a 1 piece for free recently and just doing some side by side comparisons. Theres no comparison

and a 2 piece just looks so much better than a 1 piece anyday. :)

Stock 2-pc outflows stock 1pc... and its easier to port a 2-pc w/o fab work.

I might be doing a 2pc to 1pc back to back on the Shadow.

If you open up a 1 piece, you will see how lousy it really is. The channel in this one is not original, just my first stage of heavily modifying it.
