Does anyone have any regrets in getting rid of the balance shafts in a 2.4?? It is pretty smooth now and I do not want whole car buzzing at idle. I have the oil pan off and I am about to swap in my SRT pistons/rods so now is a good time to get rid of the balance shafts.

What kind of mounts are you running? I have poly mounts, my rotating assembly was balanced, and it still shakes pretty good. If you are running more of a stock type mount I wouldn't be as worried.

stock mounts,,,your car sounds like my 87 GLHS with the hard mounts.

If its a daily driver, I would leave them in, I will be leaving mine alone in my R/T.

No BS in my 2.4L, revs fine to 7k :D

it will be daily driver, think I'm gonna leave them unless they get in the way of the piston/rod swap that will happen in a few days.

Unless you have some oil control to replace the balance shafts, I'd keep them in.

Update--I was able to swap the piston/rods without removing the balance shafts. You just have to rotate the crank back and forth to loosen or tighten the rod bolts and to remove the rod caps.
