Hey, I priced out a 1 wire 02 sensor for my Rampage (2.2 Turbo I) at the dodge dealer today, and they said it was $125.00CA does this sound a little high? I am not being cheap, but i thought this was a big difference compared to a Bosch (which i know is junk) at $40.00CA.

Thanks

Sounds way too high, last i bought a 4wire for was about $80cdn for a mopar unit from the dealer.

unless there's some stupid reason the 1 wire would be more?

According to FWD performance the 4 wire 02 is more expensive then the the 1 wire 02! http://www.fwdperformance.com/store/Category.asp?IDCatalog=5&txtCatalog=Electrical
I can see paying $85 to $90 dollars from the local DD, but not $125.00..

I paid $18 for a stock mopar 3 wire from a shelby Z with 15,000...lol

Parts were on ebay from a car that was wrecked in about 1991 and then sat...look for those deals.

I think they looked up the wrong one. I will post the NTK number tomorrow, they rock. Mines taken 3 years of mega abuse and C16. From your local parts store, should be around $65.

I tried all 5 local Dodge Dealers, and they came up with the same price, which was $125.00. I told them it was for a 86 shelby charger 2.2 turbo, and i made sure it was a 1 wire (had them check) I also asked for a P/N and got it, but i dont have it on me right now.. I remember calling one of the Dodge Dealers about 4 months ago and they gave me a price of $88 dollars for the same part, which seems like a huge price jump within 4 months! None of the Dodge Dealers would budge on the price either.

Does NAPA sell an NTK brand 02 sensors?

I don't think so, if they don't, then don't use there brand, which I believe is Standard, and its crap.

I heard that we can use newer O2 sensors from late model mopars. Any one tried this yet?

I'd be interested in this part number as well, I think I may end up having to replace mine too.

Yep, thats why I use them, :thumb:

Part number is #23005 $90

BTW, you can use any 3 wire ox sensor, you just splice your connector onto it but its not worth the hassle.

I did a google search on that part number and found it for < $20. Before I buy this, I wanted to make sure it's the correct sensor. It is the correct one, yes?

Another source for O2 sensors is sparkplugs.com.

They have the Denso (Nippondenso's Top end sensor, Nippondenso=NTK) 4-wire oem-identical sensor part # 234-4004:

234-4004 Details (http://www.sparkplugs.com/more_info.asp?AAIA=&pid=2175)

Current price is $37.25 US plus shipping.

These sensors are accurate and fast-responding like the OEM ones (not slow like the Bosch ones are).

Hope this helps,
Warren

Wouldn't it be the 234-3003?

I stopped into the Dodge dealer on lunch and figured I'd ask while I was there. They gave me a part number of 5227368 ($60) for my TBI car so I cross-referenced it on sparkplugs.com and came up with 234-3003 as the correct sensor. It's a 3-wire sensor.

I thought TBI cars were 1-wire? The parts guy thought so too.

Yep, for the 3-wire, I posted the link for the 4-wire (because the 4-wire is more accurate than the 3-wire for running a narrowband O2 gauge), and because others were quoting prices for a 4-wire.

I don't know the part #s for the 1-wire one...unless you mod the wiring for a 4-wire setup...then the part # is 234-4004 :D

they do have the 1 wire. I purchased one for Tris's car a bit back. Their site is TOUGH to navigate.

Probably depends on the year, I have only seen 3 or 4 wire sensors on TBI's, :thumb:

No Idea what TBI's have, I was talking about sparkplugs.com. Funny thing.. I seem to remember the 1 wire being more expensive than the others.

hey turbovanman is there a way i can convert my t1 with log to the 3 or 4 wire if so how

Clay

its easy. You have to get the correct plug for either a 3 wire or 4 wire sensor, and wire it up. Which means you have to find a 12 volt line that turns on with the key, and run a wire (or two) to ground.
