I found a 2004 Yellow SRT-4 for sale. I didn't think they made any. So the car would have LSD, Stage 1 correct and be pretty rare even without a sunroof?

lsd, yes

stage 1, not unless the guy added it.

So basically if I read all of this right:

'03 SRT-4 in Yellow --> 1031 (Got one)
'92 Spirit R/T in Silver --> 31 (Got one)
'87 Shelby Lancer w/ cloth & manual --> 400 (Got one)
'78 Magnum w/ P code 400ci engine --> 345 (Got one)

Okay, so I don't have one of the 4 domestic A-833 '71 Hemi 'cuda convertibles but I'm doin' alright! lol

From a post: "As far as yellow 04's go...only 128 made...7 of those had sunroofs while 1 of the 7 had side impact airbags. That one yellow 04' with sunroof and side impact is the rarest production SRT4 out there being that there is only 1. It was an employee lease car and was sold at auction, I’m sure the new owner has NO idea what he has in his driveway. Per a reliable source"

The most common one. When I had mine, equipped the same, I found it weird that an ACR had all the options and was the most common version. I miss my PW1 ACR.

I always thought it was strange that an ACR was available with a sunroof and subwoofer.

Definately took away from what an ACR was. When I bought mine, they had 4 ACR's to choose from. A red, white, black, and O.B. Only the red one was true to the ACR moniker. I had waited two years for white to be available and since I wasn't going to be SCCA racing the creature comforts weren't that big a deal. I almost waited for a commemerative but was afraid the mark up would be ridiculous on it. I was happy with my car, but unfortunately the family outgrew it.:(

A buddy of mine had a 2002 ACR and it was amazing the difference between it and my SRT-4. Roll-up windows, no sound deadening, aluminum spare. It rode like a truck but cornered VERY well once the OE all-seasons were replaced.

My vision of what the SRT-4 ACR should have been was similar. Bare bones, no wing, no fog lights, roll-up windows, etc.

it can be done now, just buy a stripper 2nd gen, and do the srt-4 swap. it's on my to-do list one of these days

I have a stone white ACR with sunroof, kicker, and side airbags. Is there anyway to tell how many of those there are. I haven't done any upgrades on it yet but the warranty is done now and i am really thinking about it. Would i be crazy to mod something so rare???

Dank17
08-21-2009, 10:03 PM
So according to these numbers i have 1 of 23 since i also have sunroof.
To mod or not to mod--that is the question?

rich tideswell
08-22-2009, 02:55 PM
Mods depend on you. In my opinion, if you're concerned about future collector value, don't mod or only do simple bolt on mods that can be undone without any trace the car was modded at all.
