94 Dakota Problem

I have a 94 Dakota with the 3.9, occasionally it has been not starting(turn the key won't turn over), as soon as I put it in drive then back to park it usually starts fine no problem, etc

Is there a switch in the column that can be changed(i.e. buy new) or do I have to just go to the wrecker?

+1 on sounding like a neutral safety switch. Try not pulling it out of park, but wiggle thshifter, like don't pull back on it just move it up and down and see if it starts. If so probably the switch.
