Alright...so I'm gonna order a T2 rebuild from TU, and I'm not sure exactly what route to take. I don't want to go crazy on a hybrid or anything. I am going to upgrade the exhaust to 3" from SV (TU 3" SV) back. I'm not sure exactly how 3" will affect a bone stock turbo. Will it spool quicker? Because I was considering the quick spool option. Would quick spool plus 3" be overboard? I'm not looking to run more boost on this engine, but a quicker spool might be nice. Please help! Thanks.

I would think the 3" with the quickspool wouldn't really be required. The 3" with a stock TII should spool up plenty quick. The quickspool option is usually used on some of the larger turbine housings. Give Chris a call though, he should be able to hook you up with all the info you need.

A tII turbo in a .48 housing with 3" from the SV back should not need much help in the spool dept. Traction would be a problem as it is.

I'd atleast get the 3" swingvalve. Not so much for quicker spool, but stronger top end torque and hp. The 3" vs. the 2.5" made nearly 20ft/lbs more of torque at higher RPM's.
