What are some simple things I can do to my neon to get a little bit more get up and go out of her? I want to get a TM down here in Arizona, but know it's not the best course of action as I'm struggeling with bills at the moment. What are some easy/simple/cheap (100 or less) things I can do to my neon to get her to move a bit quicker?

Thanks!

From what I understand, most of the simple bolt ons won't work on later neons because the NGC (next generation controller) will do what it can to maintain the factory specified torque goal.

Not much. I have an '03 and an '04 and the computers in those years were locked down pretty tight against any kind of modification. You could try a more aggressive cam from the 1st generation cars or maybe a K&N filter. That's about it on the cheap. These cars weren't meant to fly, that's what the SRT-4 was for.

I don't want it to fly, I'll get an SRT-4 when I have 5K in the bank. (Trade neon and 5K towards SRT) I was going to do K&N drop in, but that's all I can think of.

With my experience with the NGC your pretty well stuck with stock power levels. Now suspsension wise all the SRT stuff bolts on.
