Did Spirit r/t's come with a fan behind the intercooler?

Is having one a benefit, or a hindrance?

No, and it would help in stop and go traffic and maybe at the drag strip. I just picked up the new FFMM mag and they test an SVO turbo 4 banger, the stock IC soaked so bad on the dyno, it was red hot, they put the fan on but made little difference as its such an inferior unit.
On a front mount, it would probably help, again for the above reasons.

thanks.

the spirit I just got. I'm finding a lot of things about it.

the fan behind the IC. which fits perfectly. there is a red and green light on the dash, and 4 rocker switches by the shifter. it also has a oil pan heater thing that plugs into the wall.

I cant wait for the warm weather to trace the wiring and see whats what.

i am pretty lightly modded. just have 180t, 3.4, pcm, cutted cat, no resonator, koni's, springs, swaybars, trailing arms, fan mod, intake. Nothing major. there is a local guy to me whos hit 11's and a few guys in the 12's with their cars.

The TIII cooler is about the worst stocker these cars came with. It heat soaks badly.

My 1999 GTP/GTX runs low 14's with just cat back and 3.4" pulley. U-bend still in place. Cruises 75-80 on the highway at 29.5mpg.
