after giving the car a quick bath today. I opened the hatch and started to remove the cover for the spare tire and saw the telltale puddle up top just under the carpet :yuck:

So I got out the hose and started to spray everything down. Its seeping through the vertical seam where the center panel joins upto the side/quarter panel.

Thats where I fixed it on the d-side last summer.

So for now its bandaged up with foil tape and rubber tape across the top of the light, to deflect any water from above.

Long term fix will be to remove the filler strip between the lights and bumper and take a grinding disc to strip all the old sealant out from that seam on the outside and inside. and reseal like the cowl seam.

I had my rear window re-sealed and it is still getting the puddle. Time to keep looking I guess. What a pain.

Yup. reseal one area and it leaks somewhere else.
Mine has leaked from both taillight gaskets and now those vertical seams.

Have you checked the side windows for leaking ? On G-bodys they like to leak and run down the interior into the trunk.

I hope it isn't leaking from side windows. Oh, it better not be. Or I'll make it! @#%$@$%@#$%
