Is there any way to test a used LM to see if it's still good? Or, do these "never" go bad :D

Thanks,
P

EDIT: I don't need to test it. I'm just going to mount the MAP under hood. I just erad up on how to do this and it's NO big deal...Duh for me:o

EDIT: Actually, Is there any way to test a used LM? I just want to make sure mine works. I've had verrry bad luck with electronic "controllers" on at least one of my cars.

Thanks!
Paul

About the only way is to plug it into the car and see if it drives ok.

That is pretty much the only way that I have heard of.

I didn't know if they were too old or not to be hooked up to a PC or not...or some type of voltmeter...

Ahhh, just like the EIC I had on my Saturn. I didn't know the damn thing wasn't working until I swapped it out for another one. Every time "BackStreet Performace" tried to hook up their laptop, it would crash (the laptop)..The guy helping them tune my car knew of someone selling the same exact EIC. A phone call and $160 later I was in business...

You can hook 'em up to both a PC and a voltmeter, but that's not going to help you much. Only way to know for sure is to plug it into a car.
