What is the diffrence? I have a 2.2 Common block NA motor. I think the head is toast on my 89 2.5 turbo motor. Can I swap cams and valve parts and make a turbo head? Or dose the turbo head have special machining done to it?

Thanks
Bill

Casting is 100% the same

The exhaust valves are different, and the cam is different.
swap both over.

Some TBI cyl heads dont have the extra hole for the coolant line in the thermostat housing. just drill & tap a hole if its not present.

Use the TBI cam. The aftermarket companies actuially only make 1 cam for our motors anymore. Same number for TBI and Turbo. You need to swap exhaust valves and I would swap or install new springs while you have it apart.
