I've got this sway bar that I pulled from an 89 Daytona Shelby. I measured it to be nearly exactly 4" circumfrence which would mean 1.25" diameter. I can't find any information showing that as a factory size...
Is this thing supposed to be 1.25" or 1.125" diameter?
Thanks!
Tyler

Could be either from Factory from what I heard.
Biggest you can find on a stock car is 1.25.

Ooh! Do you have a source that says 1 1/4 were available?
The circ of a 1.25" bar is 3.932" compared to a 1.125" bar @ 3.534".
I'm fairly sure I didn't make a full one-half inch of error, but I sure don't want to be a horse's--um--rear with the wrong swaybar bushings, either. :thumb:
Thanks!

It is a 1.25" bar, that was what they came with.

Yes they came in 1-1/4", but the a-arm area of that bar is smaller.
That is where the difference is. Some were 1" (rare) some were 1-1/16" and many are 1-1/8". If you want bushings, you need to measure there also.
