Finally got the Stage 1 PCM for ours. I just don't have the tool to recalibrate the throttle. I'm looking forward to some before and after dyno runs.

They haven't had it back to the track yet but are expecting 10's. The link is for the video and scans of the dyno.

Keep us posted on those! The Stage 1 is supposed to add around 35HP and open the limits on the torque to 300.

i think its funny that a guy over there said 500hp was at the upper end of n/a small block v8 territory. i've ridden in a 650+ crank hp small block n/a chevy, and that was just my next door neighbor. Imagine if id gone farther out into the world! :p

good numbers. Now if they can get to 600whp on the stock bottom end they'll have the pt cruiser crowd quaking. lol

Very impressive! I don't know how to read the dyno graphs, but it seems to have a lot of dips and squiggles in the lines. How come it isn't more gradual?

Wow! No one here can read a dyno graph?

There could be any number of reasons for the dips and squiggles. A lot of dyno software allows you to do a certian amount of "smoothing" that makes the curve just that, smoother. Smoothing is a statistical function that eliminates large spikes and dips. When you apply smoothing you typically get lower numbers so if you want to show off a big number you go with less smoothing. Its also possible that this is a loading dyno that trys to simulate road forces. That dynamic loading and unloading can have an affect as well. There is also the tuning of the vehicle itself. At some points the car may not be as well tuned as in others. Turbo dynamics and boost control can also contribute. A bad speed sensor sensor on the dyno or rpm pickup can also create wierd looking graphs. The bottom line is that lots of things can contribute to a graph that looks like that. Dyno's are a great tool but you have to put the car on the track to know what it really has.

that car seems to have terrible boost control for a big turbo setup.

There's another one real close to 600HP now, but the guy can't drive... http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f241/ptps-shop-caliber-just-about-breaks-600-mark-525861/

PTP Performance and Realtune are in the horsepower wars. I think sure that their test mules are now approaching 700hp on modified stock block motors. Expect some 10 second cars probably this summer. Realtune already has a Neon SRT-4 in the 9s.
