Are all of these the correct camshaft seals from Autozone?

Below is the ones I saw from this site.

I saw that but I was curious if anyone used the Feltpro kit from Autozone.

Link no good, just goes to the year.

Not sure, I didn't even know FelPro made seals. I would honestly just use the part numbers listed and cross reference as needed.

I got two SKF #14713 from my local Kragen. Available on partsamerica.com for $9.99.

I got my car running well today doing the vac lines and such. I was hoping that I didn't have to replace the Cam seals. Well oil was dripping pretty steadly down the side of motor. I took all the pullies off and spun the oil pump with a air ratchet after cleaning the side of my block. Yes the front cam seal is shot.

What is the easiest way to replace both the front and rear camshaft seals? Do I need to take the camshafts out inorder to replace them?

There are no rear camshaft seals?????

For the front ones, remove belt and cam pulleys, pry out the old seals with a hammer and screwdriver, clean the bore OD with brake cleaner, put anerobic sealer on the seal sealing od and hammer in with a stocket. Done.

There are at least 4 different rear cam shaft configurations.

The most common is probably the cam cap.

There is also a seal that looks like this:

Even though I show the seal on my car in the above picture, I am actually using the cap.

I suspect the next two methods also use the same seal as in the above photo. The first is that there is another pulley connected to the rear of the cam that drives a smog pump. Those didn't come on turbo cars, so no big deal. But then there is also this plate the bolts to the side of the head that covers the rear of the cam. I wish I had a picture of one of those because you don't see them often.

Otherwise, do as Simon says because he's dead on.

LOL
Yeah I meant the rear being the front exhaust side seal.

You can pull out the seals with the camshaft in place with a screw driver? If so you just save me a bunch of time.

Yes a small screwdriver or even a a pick or scribe. Be careful to not score the head surface as you remove it.

Simon you know this is the TIII section right? ;)

Sweet, I wish I had free time during the week. I'm getting pretty excited about the car being able to be driven again. It's been at least 4 years since I drove it last.

I do, I think you mean Chilort, ;)

As I decribed and Kelly said, you don't need to take the cams out, :thumb:

He just followed your lead ;)

I know you knew it was the TIII section when you said pulleys but with your comment about the rear cam he just ran with it.

I removed the seals tonight. I'll finish the job on Friday and hopefully it will be ready to drive on Saturday.
Thanks guys!
