I know they changed in 00, so if I got an N/A head 00 and newer, then its the same as an SRT head? I do realize the cams would be different and would either reuse his 2.0L cams or run the 2.4 ones.

I think they are the same. SRT head has Inconel exhaust valves as well.

I know the SRT head has rectangular exhaust ports but im not sure what the newer 2.4 NA heads have in that regard. That may be something to look into though.

I believe all the oil/coolant passages are the same though :thumb:

Exact same head, same castings, different valves.

I think the valve springs are different also.

also I believe the heads changed in '01 not '00, so you want something 01+

The redesign was in 04 when they all went to rectangle port and they changed the crankcase vent on the front of the head to a larger size. The head I am using is an 04 stratus head and on the outside it looks exactly the same as the srt head.

2001-up heads also have the rectangular exhaust ports....

You need a 2002 or newer 2.4L DOHC head. 2002 is the first year of NGC (can't remember what it stands for off hand). THAT casting is the same as SRT-4/ PT GT, save for some minor cosmetic differences.

Thanks again but if I get a 01 2.0L then I should be fine.
