I have a 81 F100 and it is a bare bones truck. I can buy a 318 for 75 bucks with a 904. I was thinking about putting the Mopar in the truck since the motor is blown. I have seen LA motors in older unibody fords. If you have done this or know where I can get some info please let me know.

Should be pretty easy, just mounts and a custom driveshaft?

I doubt there is kit. All you have to do is put it in, level it, and make your own mounts and possibly a crossmember.

The last shop I worked in built Chevy powered Fords all day long. Do yourself a favor thu and have a driveshaft shop make the driveshaft. The driveshaft angle is critical, no more than 1 1/2 degree or you'll have a SERIOUS vibration.:yuck:

I figured there would not be any kits and besides I would not buy one. I am curious about oil pan clearance to the cross member. However I have seen transmission adapters somewhere for things like GM transmissions to bolt to other makes like fords. I wonder if that company makes Mopar to Ford C4 adapter? Need to look through all my saved links and see if I got it.

Ehhh.... tell that to my Jeep! lol. 1 1/2? Probably more like 15. No CV, no angled rear housing... The front one is worse, but it does vibrate. I think that has something to do with me bending it thou! haha.
