Body Work Progress

Well, the body shop called me up today wondering if I could drop by some money so they could order the paint. I was told on the phone that four should cover it. I thought, that's kind of low but whatever. Turns out I was right, they meant four thousand. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/rofl.gif

However, while I was there I got a couple of pictures and I must say I'm very impressed with the work. The shop it's at is Tripple R Restoration in the AF/PG area in Utah county. I would highly recommend their body work. We'll see how the paint comes out.

I didn't have time to get more pics but they had to pull that dent and form two new rockers on both sides as well as a small patch for the rear of the quarter. I looked it over and cant tell a thing. I never thought they'd be able to reform that door jamb but it's perfect. They only forgot to shave the antenna, so it was a good thing I went down there today.

So, now I just can't wait for it to get back and then I can do the brakes, suspension, and the clutch. :D

looks really good. DId they straighten the quarter or replace it? I bet they are all going nuts wandering who would have a chrysler lebaron restored!

Yeah, they had to straighten the quarter and the door jamb as well as the door. Then they had to form two new rockers from scratch. I had them save the antenna as well.

I'm sure they wonder but they didn't show any outward signs that they thought I was a cook, which is one of the reasons I liked them. Every other place I had talked to was trying to charge me a dink fee.

Is their any written warrenty on the rust repair ? looks really good so far

Not that I know of, but I plan to spray some truck bed liner in the rocker to prevent it. I'm not to worried though since that car will never see water again unless it's being washed.
