I didnt realize you were talking about the back window also. I would be a little scared removing the tint on the back window. I've never done the back so I'm not sure. I'd say heat gun and some goof off or something similar.

PS. this has done with the window installed to don't want to damage a good interior!

How much heat can a rear glass take before it goes of like a bomb?

Alot, its tempered. You aren't going to melt the thing, it takes a little bit of heat to get the glue to release.

I have the same problem. I am afraid the heat gun will loosen the heating elements. I think you are going to have to live with it or find another hatch! Let us know if you succeed.

I used razor blade where there is no grid on a Daytona; mainly to get the tint started pulling off. Some hair dryer heat doesn't hurt as long as you use enough just to warm the tint. Goo Gone takes the adhesive off without having to worry with razor blades. Rear window heater works fine.
