I'll start by posting the pic so I can explain:

So basically what I'm seeing here is that the exhaust is throwing moisture at the rear lip of the ground effects. It's also discoloring the inside of the lip and warping it a little. I would also guess that exhaust might be getting into the rear hatch and therefore into the cabin as I'm sure it's not air sealed.

So what I'd like to do (and excuse the crudity of the illustration) is this:

I just can't find the piece I need to do it and don't have the tools to fabricate the piece myself. The outlet is 3" and there's about 3.5" to the lip for space. Everything I've seen at the various parts stores would stick out too far.

Any suggestions or comments?

I would get a 3" 45" section from them and jsut cut it to fit

This (http://store.racing-solutions.org/3st404ra45de.html) looks good, but I would need to find a way to fit it over the existing pipe, I guess.

Why don't you move the muffler back an inch or so, then you can use a turn down, 45 or 90 deg piece of pipe.

Can't you lower the muffler down and use a piece of straight pipe to extend it?

I suppose I could do that, but it's in there nicely and I'm sure I'd botch it since exhaust work isn't a strong area of mine. I could hang a simple tailpipe though.

you should be able to get a pipe expander far enough into the 45 to get it to slip onto your muffler outlet at least a little bit and then weld it on.
