I was just searching around and they have a auction this saturday morning in Cloumbia heights, there's a 84 Aries in there with 49,799 miles on it plus some more fwd dodges in it.

What's the story on the 91 Jeep Cherokee?

You're lucky you're not married. I decided I wanted a HEMI CUDA and my wife said no. That and the fact that I may be a few bucks short of being able to afford one. :D

Jim, I did post the meeting on the mnturbododge group. Are you still on that thing or did the spam drive you away? I think Ty may have taken care of that problem. We need to use that too since there's a couple guys out there that aren't on any forums but may still be getting email from that group.

The nice thing about cold days is you get the job done quicker. If you can feel your hands. I pulled a 555 out of a Shelby Z once when the high temp that day was about 12. The bad part was the non-stop, super strong wind. It never let up. Luckily the car had low miles and every bolt was clean and broke loose easily. Had to be from out of state. Minnesota bolts don't do that.:amen:

Well Lisa and I picked up a Digital Dash Cluster out of a 1988 Lebaron and I picked up a Mopar cassette player as well.

Not sure why I keep buying these Mopar radio's but I think they look pretty cool.

Maybe they will be worth big bucks some day?

I picked up a Mopar cassette player as well.

I think I know the radio. Was it an unusual looking one? I saw one there the other day and thought about grabbing it since it was different. Then I thought I don't need more cassettes. I'm trying to convert everything to CD players now. I have a few cassette players here. But then I guess you all know (or assume) that.

See everyone tommorow!

That sounds like fun. I may even go out and practice.:D I just passed that place a couple days ago and it looked like they have cheap rates on certain evenings. I wouldn't mind bowling my brains out to try to get better. Or bowl my cobwebs out.
With this "Global cooling" we may need to stay indoors for quite a while. We got down to -26.5 F the last 2 nights. It's 5 above now. Downright balmy.

We had a great meeting last weekend. I believe there was a total of 11 people. Let's see if I can remember everyone. Jim and Lisa, Justin, Jason, Alex, Kirt, Steve, Chris, Ben, Dan, Me............Is that it? I hope I didn't forget anyone. If so, it's not that you're unimportant, It's because I'm old.:confused2:

11 is a good sized meet Way to go cold weather crew!

We actually had a couple guys from South Dakota come. Two months in a row! And one from California if you count someone who lived there most of his life and less than a year ago moved back here. You know him Alan. (Chris P) We have better luck recruiting outside the state. :thumb: We'd have had 13 if two guys that almost always show up would have made it.

Chris still have the white Rampage? What the heck would make someone move TO MN??

No, he had to sell it to move back here. Couldn't bring it with, with everything else he owned. I guess it's the job situation out there. He use to live just 3/4 of a mile north of where I live. Small world. He moved out when he was a kid. Back about 9+ years ago, he was replying to something I wrote on the SDML and saw my signature. He added in the reply, "I use to live in Coon Rapids on Hanson BLVD". That shocked me since I'm a block from Hanson and had seen his postings for a while at that point. And Stockton CA. isn't around here:D So after all those years, we finally met last weekend. The internet really does make it a small world doesn't it?
And except for the snow and the -26.5 (probably closer to -30 where Jim lives) actual air temperatures we've had lately, MN isn't so bad..........Hmmm........Now I want to move! It keeps the miles off the cars.:thumb: (Or less metal if you decide to go that route)
And you can make snow angels 5-6 months out of the year.:D

Has anyone seen the new Challenger convertibles yet? I just saw a picture a couple days ago on CL.
I have the next week off again from work. There's no excuse for me to not get all the cars running. I'm still fighting with the LeBaron. I'm not smart enough to diagnose the problem the proper way.

Jim,

I'll deliver that hatch to you if you want. I need to get it out of my garage just so I can access stuff in the back of the garage, without going through the house door.
I looked at that LeBaron for Ben. It had more rust than the discription said. Jim, call me when you get a chance and give me Ben's number. My phone fights me too much to try to call you without your number memorized. Remember the days when we actually "Knew" the phone numbers of people we called?:D

We had pretty nice weather yesterday. There were 6? of us at Famous Dave's. Jim, Todd, Justin, Jason, Ryan and me. Todd brought his Shelby Charger with the new paint job. It looks great in my opinion. My car wouldn't start when it was time to leave. Figures. It ran great all spring. (At least 325 miles.) Then I washed the car at the car wash and it wouldn't run worth anything. I still took it to the meeting. I though something got wet and it would snap out of it. Big mistake. It ran like crap all the way there. Stalled at a left turn arrow to get in the lot. Then it wouldn't start when it was time to leave. Jim ran over to a friends house to get a few tools. We drive 20+ year old TD's and don't carry tools. It wasn't getting fuel so I smacked the pump area of the tank a few times. That seemed to work and I got the car running. I got less than half-way home and it stalled on 694. Grrrr. I got a hold of my friend Paul, who came to my rescue. He pulled me home with a rope. A short rope. That's a bit scary on the freeway. He must have pulled me 12-14 miles. Luckily traffic had finally died down. I got home at about 10pm.

I rode my motorcycle down on Sunday afternoon just as everyone was leaving. I saw Steve's white GLH-T clone on the way down. There were about 800 cars there. At least that's what I thought I heard.
Todd Nelson took home the 1st place trophy for the FWD's, with his Black/Silver 1987 Shelby Charger. As long as his hood was open, mine stayed shut! That thing is really nice.
Peter P and I each won the "Outstanding" awards for our cars. He had his Blue/Silver '84 Shelby Charger and I had my 87 GLHS.
Jason brought his super Rare 1990 "4 DR" VNT Shadow ES Saturday. He just had it painted and it looked fantastic. Very nice job. The thing about that car was most people have no clue how rare it is. (One of 7)
Steve brought his '88 white GLH Clone. Another great car. The people from "Midwest Mopar's" took pictures of that car. They were pretty impressed with it. Then Todd hot wired it and took us all for a joy ride when Steve wasn't around.........OK, OK, I lied about that part.
All and all, it was a great weekend. My face should be falling off in the next couple days. The sun wasn't kind to me.

4 l-bodies
06-01-2009, 01:21 AM
Something that I didn't think about until driving home was for the first time I ever remember at that show, all three places in our FWD class were won by 2 dr. L-bodies. They only got the correct year on Bob's GLHS Charger. They called mine a 88 Shelby Charger and called Peter's 84 SC a 89 Shelby. Peter was planning on bringing his beautiful 89 big tire/recaro CSX, but at the last minute brought the 84 SC, so that might explain that one. No clue how they mixed mine up though. Those muscle car guys just don't have a clue when it comes to our cars.:D
Had a good time. Time flew by. Several of us TD'ers went to Moparponderosa Sat. night for Gregs Nelsens annual party. Millions and millions of dollars in Mopar muscle at the hobby farm. hemi daytona's, superbird's, cuda's, Challenger's, Hemi Dart's, Road runner's. All hemi's, all literally perfect. Couple of my GLHT's hibernate there. They keep good company. Nice to see them. They will be coming home soon.
Lots of people looked at Steve's white GLHT at the show. IMO, over the years the GLHT seems to have gathered some respect from the muscle car crowd. Like Bob said, almost everyone had no clue about the rarity of Jason's VNT 4 dr Shadow. Beautiful new paint on the car. Really cool car.
It was fun to talk to friends I haven't seen in a while. For those who missed it... shoulda been there.
Todd

I'm putting the Shelby in. It's kind of expensive. I tried to pre-register and they said it was closed. According to their web-site, I should have been able to register on-line, until Midnight Sunday night. But, it wouldn't let me so it'll cost $55 to enter. Grrrrrrr
But, I'll be there. Hopefully, Brad will have his Supercharged 3.8 RWD Shelby Charger finished. He says he's real close.:thumb:

Hey guys I'll be up in Crosslake MN from July 19 up until maybe Aug 2nd or so. Looks like Josh and I are going to get together and BS a little...anything else going on? Mainly I'm going on a fishing trip with the Family, but there ought to be an afternoon or evening my son and I could sneak away ;)

Unfortunately I won't be driving a turbo car, just an 07 Town and Country :(

Hey Paul, we are having an MNSDAC meeting on July 18th at Car Craft Summer Nationals at the state fair grounds. Too bad you are leaving the next day. I was going to say maybe my brother and I could meet up with you guys and have some drinks or something but Cross Lake is 2 hours away from us.

Yeah man, I was looking over the schedule and I noticed the Car Craft event! Only a couple days too late...oh well :)

Correct, it's probably about two hours one way, but I wouldn't have a problem driving also...is there anyone or any place to congregate somewhere in the middle?

Either way this works out, thanks for replying :thumb:

Cool, I think that's where Josh (MNMopar) lives. It would be neat to meet you all if the opportunity exists, but I certainly don't want to put anyone out of the way at my expense.

We'll just play it by ear and see how things go...regardless, best of luck at the Car Craft event! :thumb:

I'm going on saturday, I would like to get there by 10:00 but we will see. I'm not entering anything this year, I would rather spend the money that I saved on car parts!:D

Just put new Edelbrock IAS front shocks on the Dart last night, holy crap, what a difference! Before I could push the car down real easy, and now I can't push it down at all! When I turn the steering wheel the car turns so nice without all the roll. Can't wait to put the rears on this weekend. I also have to put front and rear sway bars on this weekend as well. Can't wait to have this all done, then I can turn corners without the car feeling like it's going to flip over!:thumb:

Well I've been at the show for two days and have only seen Bob D. so far. What happened to the rest of you? Peter, Bob told me you where there, but I couldn't find you. I am parked on Lee ave. (where Midwest Mopar usually park). If your coming Sunday, I have your trophy from MITP with me.

I saw a few more people than Todd. Jim rode in with me. Peter, Kirt and his wife, Ryan and Shannon, Chris P, Brad. Although, I think only Me, Todd and Peter had turbo cars there. I think a guy name Don was there with his 89 CSX, but I didn't see him.
Who else is going to be there tomorrow? I'll be there.

Well, Sunday was a beautiful day for a car show. (CarCraft at MN. State Fairgrounds) Especially after the crappy cold cloudy Saturday. Brad had his TC3 there. Todd had the 87 Shelby Charger. I ran in to Don, who has an 89 CSX with 17,XXX actual miles. I guess he was parked next to Peter with his 89 CSX. They both are original owners of their CSX's. Although Peters car went through a few owners after he got rid of it for a Shelby Lancer? I can't remember for sure. But years later, he wanted another 89 CSX and stumbled on his old one. Cool story! I'm a little bummed that I didn't know where they were parked until later in the day. We don't get many times when 3 numbered cars are together. That could have happened. As it turned out, they were just about visible from where I was parked.:banghead: (Half block away)
I had a hard time finding a good place to park on a main street. Then I found a spot right next to a friends 68 AMX. I got lucky. There were a lot of nice cars there. I believe there may have been near 6,000 cars total during the weekend.

Adults (Includes Pit Pass & FREE Parking) $10

I will probably just come down there saturday afternoon as a specator since I missed the pre-registration and I'm not planning on coming back down there for Sunday.

Friday night I'm going up north to go camping with my parents friends that I grew up with. Hey Guys. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it down or not. I was originally planning on bringing the GLHS, but I might take the blue GLHT instead. I wouldn't be there Sunday, it would be just Sat. So to load up the GLHS and trailer it down there for a few hours sounds like a lot of work. I'm thinking if I go, I'll just hop in the GLHT, turn the air on and cruise down there for a little bit.

Baxter for now, but that may change before the end of the summer. I'm looking for work now, so that will have the final say in where I end up. I'm looking in three main areas, Brainerd/Baxter area, St.Cloud area, or NW Metro, like Elk River/Maple Grove/Rogers. I would guess I'll probably end up in St.Cloud or Baxter. I love the Brainerd/Baxter area, but manufactoring jobs around here are limited...

Bob,

I thought you might like to see what I have "hanging around" in my garage. Hopefully the scrap metal yard will be open tomorrow. I saved the Town & Country Dodge emblem off the back for you, I figured you might want it for sentimental reasons.

Ben,

Yeah, I'd like to get that Town and Country emblem. We owned that car for almost 16 years. We actually bought 4 cars from T&D. 83 Charger, 86 Shelby Charger, 89 and 90 Shelby Daytona's.
That's really a sad site. But I do know how bad the floor was getting on it. About the same as my GTC.:( That's part of the reason I never put a clutch in it when that went out. It sat for 6+ years before Phil and Kaylee bought it. I'm glad they got some use out of it. I was just under the GTC yesterday putting a good quiet muffler on it. I saw how bad the floor has gotten. I was thinking about pulling out my carpet and fixing it and then putting your carpet it. But after seeing it from underneith, I don't know. The quieter exhaust really makes the tranny sound bad. It shifts great but the bearings must be shot. I need to open it up and fix it before the shafts are gone. That's what happened to the original 555 from that Daytona.
I may just have to strip and junk it at the end of the summer.

TopDollar69
07-04-2010, 09:29 PM
The Daytona was so rusty in the rear that it would not sit on jack stands, they floor was just caving in. I had to shore it up with railroad ties under the rear bumper to hold it up while I removed the rear axle. The good news is, everything will live on in my 85 T&C wagon.

amoparx
07-05-2010, 12:11 AM
That's good. When I started working on the muffler yesterday, I went to jack up the side of LeBaron and ended up jacking it under the rear shock/axle area instead. The floor was caving in on that too. I knew the front was bad, but it spread to the rear floor. That piece of frame that goes from the front to halfway to the back (The one you put a floor jack under) has a pretty good (or bad) bend in it now. I really wish I had more room when you had your GTC for sale. I was really considering it. You may have had rust, but it couldn't have been nearly as bad as my car. I'm going to keep my eyes open for another TII GTC. I really love that car. I have a good sunburn to prove it!:D
I may pull the guts out of the tranny tomorrow and see what I can do about the bearings. That thing has to get my through till winter.

The guy I sold Jims old maroon Lebaron to is selling it now. It's a nice clean car, and I think he is asking $1500 or less for it. I swapped it to an intercooled 2.5L with an A523 trans. I also installed all new shocks struts, and a dual pivot K frame. It was a very nice car, but I needed a 4 door after we had our son. I can get you his contact info if your interested.

Sorry Ben. I meant to reply right away and something came up and I forgot. It's an age thing I think.
I liked Jims LeBaron a lot. And you made it much better, but for now, I'd like to get another 89 TII. Mainly because of the larger brakes and other goodies it came with. Your GTC appealed to me because it was "MY" car after you did the TII conversion. (but better)
I still haven't pulled to guts out of the tranny to see if I could fix it in the car. I hope to do that tomorrow morning. (Unless the rain stops in the next little while) I had an issue with a 2-piece motor mount on the Shelby the other day. The front mount bracket totally ripped in half while racing a Supercharged Bonneville. I usually take it easy off the line. The mount must have been cracked for a while. The two halves didn't fit back together very well. Lots of bent metal. But I was able to weld it back together for now. That'll tide me over 'till I can find another bracket.

Hello All

I was looking at the Hastings Car show website and they do their car shows every other weekend not every weekend like I thought when I was getting our schedule together at the beginning of the year. This coming weekend they do not have a show! :(

We will still meet at Porky's Drive Inn @ 1:00 on August 14th but then we will leave at 3:30 and have a cruise to the Anoka Car show in downtown Anoka.

I'll be there without a Dart. I'll be there with the new Shelby Charger. This car can be trusted to go anywhere:D Now there's something different. I also pulled off 30.7 mpg with the GTC, 2 weeks ago, going to buy the Charger. The Charger got 31 mpg coming home from the eastern side of WI. It's been a while since I got such great mileage, but then again, it's been a while since I did road trips with 100% freeway driving.
The Charger also has the typical cutout going around corners when you're down 10 gallons of gas. Does that bring back memories!

I'm glad I didn't drive to Plymouth now. I was in Farmington picking up a treadmill for my wife, and we decided to just skip the meeting so we wouldn't have to drive in the dark. The roads were somewhat bad, but the traffic was the real problem. It's amazing how people forget how to drive in a 5 month span. After 2 blown tires on the trailer and running out of gas about 15 miles out of Watertown we made it home.

I never did leave the house yesterday, unless you call driving to the mailbox leaving. Actually, I pulled a couple cars in to the street so I could shovel the concrete consistency snow. (concrete might be lighter) When I pulled the GTC back, I first drove to the mailbox. It beat the heck out of walking in the puddled, slushy snow that was in front of it.
I had a branch of a tree come down in my front yard. It may have been about 5"+ in diameter. Thankfully, my next door neighbor helped me take down 1/2 my birch tree about a month ago, or that "WOULD" have come down and landed on something in the driveway. That is, if it was still standing after those super high winds a week or two ago.
Hopefully people can make it next Saturday. If the roads are clean, I may have to bring the Shelby Charger to storage. Yeah, I've been dragging my feet. I know Jason has to work next week. Does anyone have any objections to Sunday instead? I can do either day myself.

I had a fun drive home from work tonight. My rear bearing/hub came unglued. I almost didn't get off the freeway. The wheel came off the spindle with the rotor attached. It cost me $128 to get it towed home. Ouch!. I've been thinking about getting AAA. I could have gotten a pretty good plan for what the tow cost me.:banghead::banghead: They dropped the car in from of the house on the street. I was able to get the car up the driveway by putting that corner of the car on one of my wheel dolly's from my AMX. Now I need to find some parts. The GTC has the 11" big brakes. One of the "ears" broke off the brake pad bracket.

I've always wanted to go bowling just one time by myself to practice. I'm sure I could do much better since the only time I bowl, are the two frames in December. I can only blame myself too. With perfect floors, perfect fitting/sliding shoes, perfect spacing/size holes on the ball and feeling coordinated that day, I must be pathetic since I barely break 100. LOL
Hopefully, the snow holds off a bit in the next week or so and Ben can make it. I don't think he's missed a bowling day yet.

With our luck this year, we'll probably have another snowstorm next week. I'm really getting sick of shoveling around cars. I was out for over 2 hours today. About 4 times longer than my neighbors without cars in their driveways. I don't know how much we had but I don't remember ever seeing this much snow on the ground this early in December. I don't know where we're going to put any more of it when we get the next snowfall. I never did go out and try to drive in it. I figure it must be bad when they pull the snow plows off the roads.

We didn't get anywhere near that much up here, but it sure looked like it. The way the driveway is like a bowl from the older banks of snow on the sides. Then the wind fills it in. The snow that was there was higher than my snow blower. I did about 95% of it with a shovel.
I can't imagine what it looks like down by you, Todd.
I haven't been outside since I shoveled about 12 hours ago. I'm pretty sure the wind filled in the driveway again. The difference is later on when I go to shovel, it'll be about 20 degrees colder.

No, going to get rid of a couple. The GTC isn't long for the world now. When I do get it running again, it'll be to get through the winter. The car looks nice, but basically doesn't have a floor anymore.

You guys always say that!!!!
Yep. I was so proud of myself when I got rid of the '86 Shelby Charger I had 18 1/2 years and the '89 Shelby Daytona I had almost 16 years to bring home the second GLHS. But then, being the glutton for punishment that I am, (Todd's words, but so true) I brought home the R/T. Now I'm stuck daily driving it. At least temperarily. I fell in love with the car all over again. I was going to sell it as soon as I got the oil pump and I-shaft fixed. Now after 2,200+ miles, I don't want to get rid of it. I'll probably change my mind after I throw another timing belt.:D
I never will get rid of too many cars. I've had the AMX 25 years now. That stays. The 4 l-bodies will probably stay for now. (Pun intended Todd):D If I lose the GTC, R/T, Sundance and Tracker, I'll be doing pretty good.

So, who's going bowling this weekend? So far Me, Jim and 80% chance Paul will be there.

Bowling was a lot of fun as usual. We actually bowled three games this year. Normally with all the talking we only get two games in. I think we were there much earlier in the day than usual.
There were 7 of up there. Jim, Alex, Eric, Todd, Paul, Bryan and me. Eric had the highest score of the day, He bowled a 187 in one game. Paul did great as long as he wasn't doing the "learning" thing and trying to curve the ball. Me and Todd were neck and neck almost every game we bowled. That made it interesting.
The food was great.

Alan you wouldn't believe how cheap bowling, beer, and food is at this bowling alley during off peek hours. I think bowling was .75 a game. Beer and drinks were two for one, food was also like half price. I bought the third game for us and I think it was under $10 for everyone. Crazy cheap considering the fun we had. We got dumped on. I'm not sure how much total, but I had at least 24 inches in my driveway last night and this morning from drifting. The plow also left me a nice windrow in the end of my driveway, but at least they cleared the street in a timley manner.

I'd sure hate to shovel around my cars over there. We did'nt get much wind so most of the snow stayed where I put it. I know this storm was a lot like the one before Christmas. We got the same amount of snow and I'm guessing Todd did too. I don't envy him. Officially, this area got about 13" last I heard and Bloomington got 19.6" I think that puts us at about the third snowiest seasons ever. And there's lot's of time left to close in on the snowiest.

Hey Eric

I'm thinking about summer not winter, you mentioned that you might be able to hook us up for some golfing this year. I was wondering would it be better to go there on the weekends or week nights? I thought we could get a 1st annual MNSDAC golf tournament started this summer.

Thanks
Jim

Weekend afternoons are a ghost town on any course these days other then holiday weekends. Possibly friday eves also but not 100% sure on that. M-Th have a fair amount of eve. league play. I am in Houston right now other wise i could find out exactly. Think of a date and we can go from there. Also just throwing this out there, night-time glow golf. Parkview pretty much invented it and we still are one of the few that do it. Golf balls that blink, light sticks on pins, greens outlined with rechargeable sidewalk lights. Beer and grilled food also. Almost everyone that tries it loves it. Not sure of what kind of brake i can get us on this cause of the food/beer and glow supplies. If its regular golf i should be able to get 3 guys and me for free and we can just divide the rest of the cost among us. I will have to check with my GM first. Times are getting tight in the golf business but in the past it would be no problem so i would be shocked if they did not allow this.
Thanks, Eric

FYI junkyard spotter as of 3-1, U-pull south
90 shadow es non turbo schmo n/a car but has 4 nice white 15 in pumpers minus the center caps i scored. I did not look real close but tires are even useable i think for j-yard wheels. Last row.
3 decent white snowflake rims (spirit r/t style) on and in a white van in first couple rows
Turbo woody mini last row in corner. Somebody went thru the trouble of pulling the head/turbo and left it all there. Cause its a mitsi maybe. Anyways the turbo spins and not a lot of play. For some reason i put it in the back of newer mini van 2 cars east. Its the hoarder in me i need help! There and off if anyone wants it.
90 lebaron conv. turbo with motor/turbo still intact
Also would appreciate a heads up if any one spots the following
1 useable spirit es/r/t front airdam
2 spirit with center console
3 shadow with shifter, i need a cable

For some reason i put it in the back of newer mini van 2 cars east. Its the hoarder in me i need help! Been there, done that!!! I saw a supercharged Ford once and wondered where the intercooler was. I opened the door of the truck next to it and sure enough, there was the cooler. I don't know why I thought it was even still in the yard. Waste of $8.00. I never did use it.

I don't suppose you got a look at the size of the breaks on the Turbo Lebaron? I'd assume they were 10's. I'm still looking for a car with 11's. I'd like to drive the convert again some day.

If it was a GT, then it would have 10", but the GTC may have 11's. I don't really know for sure, but I believe it may be like the newer Daytona's. Some of the newer ES 3.0's came with the big brakes. But do they ever show up anymore? I'm about to go up to U-Pull's East Bethel location and look at a '94 Lebaron that was listed today on their website.

I am in the MN twin city area and I own a 89 Le baron. Any one know where I can get some 10 hole mags? Also, i want a wing type spoiler for the back, would the shadow fit? any ideas?
Gary

The shadow spoiler has been used on the Lebaron, and it looks ok, but there were a couple of different aftermarket options as well.

Hey guys, since i'm in Houston and its 20 mn. from my buds place i dropped in on Cindy at FWD. I just showed up and she was very friendly. Gave me a tour and talked a little. Got a free t-shirt. I didnt go nuts with pics just a few cell shots. Kind of crappy pics but i didnt want to look like a tourist. Apoligies for the non turbo dodge pics but the ZR1 was on the dyno and the Insight has a turbo that i think she said took whp from 67 to 130 something. I have video of the pull but still trying to figure out how to put it on here. Violent sound at 587 whp and they were still tuning because 2 days ago it did over 680. What you cant see is a honda crx with blankets or covers sitting about 6-8 ft behind the vette and on the dyno pull the exhaust almost blew the cover off the car. Black Shadow with the flat slicks ran 10.58s i think she said. White Shadow you see the headlight of is a T-3 conversion. I guess i never realized she was such a T-3 shop. Quite a few R/Ts and Irocs. The red R/T in the left of the one pic was gorgeous and deserved a pic instead of just the rear wheel. In front of the red R/T is a few more R/Ts and Irocs. The GLHS was just sitting all lonesome in the front of the yard and there was a red/pink GLH sitting right next to the building.
Later, Eric.

Hi Gary,
We have a meeting every month. This Saturday is our March meeting. (listed above or on the website. mnsdac.com (http://amoparx.net/mnsdacpic/mnsdac.htm) ) Anyone is welcome! Just show up. We won't try to pressure you in to joining. Not right away that is! We're still trying to get guys to officially join who have been coming for the last couple years.
We usually have anywhere from 6-10 people show up. As for car shows, a lot of us go to Mopar's in the Park, Car Craft and Wheels & Wings in Osceola, WI. Those three shows are considered our meetings. Although, we really don't do a lot of "official" meeting type stuff. Really just a casual get-together of TD friends.

Latest news!!! I received my grill for the R/T today. Oh yeah and I had an accident with it Saturday. At least the front should look better.

Rosemont U-Pull. 1990 Daytona ES. I couldn't get the hood opened, (didn't try too hard. It is straight) but I assume it's a TBI 2.5. No turbo hood and I don't remember seeing V6 emblems. It's a 5 speed! So My best guess is there's a 523 there.
3 pretty nice snow flake wheels. I grabbed the 4th since the tire was good and I needed the tire. I know snow flakes aren't the most popular rim, but if someone needs a set I will part with this one.

Actually, I'm layed off this week. But anytime I hear about a Daytona at a salvage yard, I have to see what it is. I'm still trying to find 11" rear brake parts for the GTC so I can get it back on the road. (This is only about my 2nd time at a yard all winter)

29649Hey guys, i'm useing rims like this except white (forgot to take pic of them) as cores at u-pull unless anyone is interested in them for $14 each because thats what u-pull is paying. They are off a Lebaron convert. I have 4, 3 are ok, 1 is kinda yellowish but all are useable and not bent i beleive. All 4 have tires on them, 2 tires are shot with cords showing, 2 have good tread but cracking on sides. Maybe??? the 2 could be used but i sure wouldnt do any road-trips or speed runs with them. Continental tires, size 195-65-15. Anyone interested just private message me. I will be bringing them to u-pull by tuesday probly. Again white ones not the pictured ones.
Thanks,Eric 29649

03-18-2011, 09:17 PM
Yes, The tires on them are good enough to use and the ones im giving for core are'nt and they are cooler wheels besides. For some reason i needed 15 and 16 inch pumpers. Now i need some Shelby center caps for the 16s just to have. Also got the smec and wiring harness out of the 88 Lebaron. Sold my jeep stuff and got cash burning a hole in my pocket. Some guys get a little cash and they go to the bar or casino, not me. Right to u-pull i went. On a different and totally unrelated note is anyone else having issue with the Turbo-dodge site? I can barely log on and cant even get to the mnsdac threads.

Sorry been pretty busy since last weekend and this looks like a good start. I will be cleaning my garage out in the next week or two and then i should have a pretty good inventory on some stuff. I know in the past i semi parted out a 86 Shelby Z and a 83 Shelby Charger N/A and have variouse nickle and dime parts from these. Off the top of my head i know i have the tail lights for the Z, Wireing harness and calibration for the Z, Interior door panels and other stuff includeing ground affects from the Charger.
