I got a quick question for you all, I have an 85 tona, and would like to remove the powersteering pump, can I still use the same rack with the hoses plugged with no ill effects? just curious, would like some more room behind the engine.

You can do that, just make sure to point the hoses into a bucket and turn the wheel back and forth to remove as much fluid as possible. I would also hook the 2 hoses together but don't plug them off, the rack needs to vent as its like a piston engine inside and needs to move air/fluid.
You will find its very hard to turn and if you have tilt, you can damage the steering column as you really have to force the car to turn, especially in parking lots etc.

The few power racks that I've deleted the pumps on
I've filled the hoses then looped them together
Don't you need any fluid to lubricate?

There is enough left over to keep the seals lubed, :eyebrows:
