1987 csx 1800 obo

i have an 87 csx for sale. all shelby items there except valve cover. car needs patch work on floors cuz they have rust. it has an 88 motor in it with a 90 568 tranny. has radiator and intercooler out of a daytona. runs and drives well and the 568 shifts flawlesly. would not hesitsate to drive anywhere. will consider tradesfor mopars only. td stuff or smallblock mopar stuff. car is in norfolk,va. 23513 1800 or best offer. can email pics cuz i cant add images on thread.

mostly floors cuz it is a leaker. mileage on motor uknown. tranny mileage is about 95k. came out of a 90 daytona vnt car that i owned for many years.

i will try to get more pics up of underside and interier. it is #62. i got the car as a roller from gary donovan a few years back. saved it from a sawzall party as he put it. the car is really not that bad but i have seven cars, 2 of them dragcars. so its the classic not enough time. meanwhile i still drive it all the time, it has a 3 in exaust on it , no cat, newer axles, newer front struts, ac works. the car is worth fixing but like i said not enough time for me.

I want to buy this bad I figure you are about 5 hours from me. I have a pos saturn I bought as a beater because my dakota gets 12 miles to a gallon.I'm going through a nasty divorce and want a fun car again lost my evo. I have a shelby charger but needs way to much work no trans no fuel pump so maybe I can sell that car too. let me try to sell on craigslist and figure out where to get the rest of the money. is there a train station or some thing close to you? trying to figure out the cheapest way to get there and back. you sure the car will make it back to pa you have that much faith in it? and any idea how to transfer and get a temp plate to get it back to pa? email me johnsrt4@gmail.com

i dont know about a temp plate. i think you would have to get a transport plate from pa. i dont see any reason why it wouldnt make it to pa. the rear tires were showing cords but i put some used ones on the rear. the va inspection ran out in jan.

Nice car for sure.. I've driven far less reliable a car much further.. Try a 130k mile NA RX7 from indy to DC and back not once but twice. I think this old car would make it.. Obviously not my car, but sounds like a good one for sure. Glad to see you saved it. Some guys aren't much for keeping a Shelby car together.. I don't have a word for that other than extremely illogical. Good luck with the sale. If I had the money I would for sure be all over this as its the best deal on a CSX I've seen so far. I probably would of used my tax return to buy this but I just got internet back last week.. Doh!:banghead:

the car is lowered. when i got the car someone had spring clamps on it to lower it. which rode awful! put different springs on it with new struts and after seeing it sit low just didnt look right. so the springs have been shortened. it handles extremely well and rides well. there are air shocks on the rear. which tells me someone has had it on the dragstrip at one time or another. the way the old tires wore on the rear tells me someone set that rear axle up to handle really well in turns. it does that well.that is one of the fun things about about the car.
