problems with a srt-4 neon reving out of nowhere

so my friend has an srt-4 neon and it just starts reving up out of no where and it just goes crazy.. have you ever heard of this problem before? what could it be?

The wiring for the TPS goes bad and can cause that problem.

I usually only have problems with hondas revving out of nowhere for no reason... O_o
