And your right. Its a steal and it can make what ever drive you want to. I just drove it 300 miles last week with no issues other than the timing jumped a tooth. I just want it gone. I can use the money and buy myself a honda with an automatic:D

Code 51 for '88 TDs indicates a problem with the O2 sensor, check the Turbo Database at this site http://www.thedodgegarage.com/

Thanks, for the help but it means that the 02 sensor has been reading lean. I have no idea why because I know its getting enough fuel and its a new 02 sensor.

Do yourself a favor and put in a factory Mopar O2. It does make a difference.

this is where a wideband would have been a good investment.

if you have another smec, try swapping it(had to do it to my past 88)

Stock SMEC can't run a wideband.

Innovatemotorsports.com Their LC-1 has a simulated Narrowband output you just wire up to the signal wire from the stock O2 to the smec.

Cars running again. but for some reason I am still getting code 51. I am confident this car could make a 500-700 miles drive in a day with out issue. Some one save it before I part it out.

+1
That's a really good deal! I'm sure if you haven't sold it by the time tax refund checks come in, you'll sell it then.

If any one is serious about buying this car after they get their tax return let me know now so I can start making plans on whether i am going to part it out or not. I am fine with holding on to it for a while if any one is serious about getting it. As far as I can tell its a vacuum leak thats causing me grief. I did a cold compression check and I got between 145-155 psi on all cylinders. I just got another car so I have no interest in messing with it to get right. If I did I would be asking for $1k more :D

Thanks
