I just changed my rear discs, and I can see that my E-Brake shoes for the drum on the back of the rear discs are getting a bit low. I adjusted them a bit and that seems to have helped. How long do the stock shoes usually last for, as they've never been changed, and I think might need to as my E-Brake just doesn't hold like it used to?

If you try to get them from a parts store, ask them to look up a 91 LeBaron, for some reason they dont cross reference back to 89 like they should.

I swear everything on my car is really cheap except the few things that make it pretty rare, and those e-brake shoes seem to be one of them. 120 bucks retail was the last quote I heard. I only paid 165 (with a sweet sweet inside deal albeit) to do all for sets of pads and rotors.

I wonder if they ebrake shoes are the same between 10.5in and 11.2in rotors.

Doesn't really help me since I don't live in the States though.

Which vehicles had the different rotor sizes? Was it a year change or a model option?

Model option. Only Lebarons and Daytonas had the option of the larger rotors. The shoes are the same between the 10 inch and the 11 inch. The point of my post is that Raybestos makes the pads and if you look the part number is listed. Im sure you can find someone in Canada that sells Raybestos brakes that could probably order them for you. Good luck.

In most major cities there are places that will re-line brake shoes.
I had my trailer brakes done this way. $12 each shoe. You could
have those done that way.

look for a Ciruss, Stratus, Intrepid or LHS with rear disk brakes. I hear they have the same shoes and are more plentiful at the junk yards.
