I bought a 1985 D100 pickup to have some fun with. But with the current economy it does nothing but sit. Anyway, I bought it last winter, and planned to change the oil over the summer. I also got a can of CRC(?) high mileage engine flush recommended by the hot girl at the auto parts store who also knew her stuff.

Anyway, the motor had a tick. Several people listened to it and said: top end, crappy old oil, lifter tick. I put the CRC in and followed the directions. Refilled with mostly Mobil1 5W30 and a little regular mobil 5W30. No more tick, and MAN does she sound quiet now.

Next will be to drain the tranny, do a fluid and filter change and upgrade to a Transgo TF2 kit. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
