Right now when you insert a link using the button in the message box, you can only insert the link. So if I wanted to post a link to a Turbo Calculator you would see this.

http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/index.php?target_peak_power=400&engine_disp=183&target_af=11.8&bfsc=0.51&max_ic_loss=1.7&rpm_redline=6000&rpm_peak_power=5500&rpm_max_boost=3500&rpm_min_boost=3000&vol_1=89&vol_2=93&vol_3=90&vol_4=87&intemp_1=90&intemp_2=120&intemp_3=135&intemp_4=140&pre_company_id=2&pre_family_id=3&calc=yes&company=2&family=3&product=3

But I know the board software has the option to use a "Display Text" option, where it shows what ever you want as the link text but still goes to the correct page, like so.

3.0/400hp/11.8AFR/0.51BSFC (http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/index.php?target_peak_power=400&engine_disp=183&target_af=11.8&bfsc=0.51&max_ic_loss=1.7&rpm_redline=6000&rpm_peak_power=5500&rpm_max_boost=3500&rpm_min_boost=3000&vol_1=89&vol_2=93&vol_3=90&vol_4=87&intemp_1=90&intemp_2=120&intemp_3=135&intemp_4=140&pre_company_id=2&pre_family_id=3&calc=yes&company=2&family=3&product=3)

Can we enable this option? It makes all the difference in the world in my opinion.

On SRT Forums.com they have it set up so that any time a keyword is typed in a message, it automatically links to a vendor website. For example if you use the word cars in a message, when the message is displayed the word cars is made into a link and clicking on it takes you to the Dodge.com site.

Now that is how it has been there for at least a couple weeks, but I just checked it while writing this and all those hyperlinks are not active anymore. It may be a problem with the board (they have been up & down a few times this week) or maybe they were just trying the feature for a while, I don't know.

Actually I found it aggravating at first, because my first post there came up with three of the links in the message, and my first response when seeing them was "WTF?"

But if that was active here, say for the paid vendors, any time someone typed TU it would automatically create a hyperlink to the TU website. And that could attract, or be given to, vendors as a value added feature.

Frank, guess what?

I'm standing behind you.

Seriously though, common sense prevailed in this case. Those seemed to be a sensible approach to a "mild" 3.0 turbo build.

Well I will start looking into that issue and the keywords thing. Rather handy.

Chris... I never realized until you posted it, how dang long those URL's are lol.
