3 missing blades!

so I yanked my bunk turbo today... 3 blades on the turbine are gone and it has a LOT of shaft play. I'm guessing it got starved for oil in a couple hard corners a few times too many... BUT, is it common for this to happen like this? I mean, there is a LOT of shaft play, but its impossible to tell if thats what caused the turbine to bind and snap the blades, or if something foriegn went through it and did the damage... ARGH.

If it is missing blades, I would immagine that it rubbed on the housing really badly, or you sucked some thing up for sure.

I'm hoping the bearing let go first, but I dont have the $$ for a 3rd turbo if this one goes belly up shortly after start-up...

No oil puked out of the motor anywhere, and the engine idled great (same as ever) just the turbo went bonkers... I really hope the pistons are all still together (valves too)...

Man, the list just gets longer on these cars sometimes, tranny, axle, wiring, manifolds, turbo, argh...
