I have an 85 Reliant Turbo wagon parts car. One of the FBI cars. I was wandering what kind of auto it had in it. Is it the 413?

Yep, A413 and small shaft diff.

so I take it there is a large shaft differential? I take it that that is better?

Small shaft means the CV shaft splines are the same size as a 525; in '87 all autos went to the larger shafts ie 555.

Yes, but its more than that, you also need to change the pump if your running this trans in a later car due to the TC bolt pattern and yes, the TC's are different thru the years.

Is this car an 85 or 86? If it is a 85 it is the first fed wagon I have heard of. All the ones I know of including mine are 86.
