Hey guys,

Mary-beth and I have a who's "faster" bet going for Saturday Nov 1st at Milan Dragway. If anyone would like to come hang out with us.... here's the info:

No ET Nationals

I thought you didn't need a cage until 10's...??? I know of plenty 11 second cars without cages that run at the track.

6point cage is needed at:

NHRA is 11.49

IHRA is 11.99 (milan is IHRA)

not sure if they have different rules in the states or not??? ill be having an 8 point cage installed over winter hopefully

Well, we still have to decide on what we're going to do. At first i was going to race him with the turdmobile dsm; but alas, the turbo i ordered won't be here for another week or so. :(

soooo.... we have a few options Tim.
1.) both race the SRT and see who gets the fastest time. or
2.) Dan lets me drive the Magnum again...
3.) I'll bring the CSX and we can go to see who can beat (or come closest to) beating thier personal bests.

I'm kinda miffed about the Talon, tho. With the new turbo, there would've been some great races... the cars should be really close in times. in theroy. and alot of times theory doesn't work out inthe world of constant PMS; er i mean.. DSM. :P

I say bring the CSX, and we should make a pass in each others car..... Two fastest passes win..... We can use the Magnum as a tie breaker..LOL

didnt get a chance to work on the car 2day, was too busy cleaning the garage so I would have some room and organized tools to work with :o

Ill start the teardown 2morrow and hopefully dont find anything out of the ordinary besides some chewed up teeth on the oil pump or shaft.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — MillerCoors LLC says goodbye to Zima.

The joint venture between SABMiller's U.S. unit and Molson Coors Brewing Co. told distributors in a letter Monday that production of the malt liquor beverage was discontinued as of Oct. 10.

Chief Marketing Officer Andy England says the decision was due to weakness in the "malternative" segment and declining consumer interest. (Except in the chicagoland area)

He says distributors can get remaining Zima inventories most likely through December.

Distributors are being asked to put products from alcoholic energy brand Sparks on retail store shelves to make up for Zima's absence.

The brand came to the joint venture from Molson Coors, maker of Coors Light and Keystone.

well im back up and running....still got a 6K RPM miss, going to try n change the coil and try another hep...maybe some new plugs or tighter gap? i guess i could turn down the boost to see if it goes away but thats no fun!!!

If I can get a truck 2morrow Ill be able to make it out, im very confident the car could drive there and back but id rather not just in case, knowing my luck.

Long story short: I ended up winning the bet by default.

Here's what happened first thing when we got there. I get tim's srt4, and i launch it, it spins some, and then i go to shift into 2nd, but the pedal goes to the floor. i have no gears; no clutch. ha! so i'm coasting down the track and eventually i jam it into third and drive it back to the pits. i have offically had my first mechincal failure off the line! the clutch smelled rather cooked, but what actually happened was the slave cyldiner backed out of the trans. Tim, sammy and dan then worked and got it back together..... all for nothing really. The last run that car saw was with Tim driving it to the 13.8 in our "grudge" race. I managed to get 4 runs total with the CSX. the 15.4 was its best. And get this: i beat a new mustang twice! it had "CS" logos on it, but i think it was just a v6... it had to have been... i was running mid to high 15's! However, in all thw waiting and such, tim did take me out back and he taught me some tricks on launching FWD. I think i have figured out what i was doing wrong. I must've launched that car 30 times. haha! if it didn't need a clutch from eariler... it does now. ;) ha! funtimes with the turbo skittle!

And then it started to get dark and thus the track cooled off pretty quick. Saw one car hit the wall, followed by another car that was able to save himself.... he dodged the wall THREE times!! Excellent driving there! then the first run after cleaning up after that car, another one looses traction. What was weird about the last one was that his DOOR fell off!!! tim looked over and said "well, i guess he blew the doors off of that car!" hahaha!! ;) then the other car had to dodge the door and thus almost hit the wall. At this point, we decided to call it a night... I was trying for one more run with the SRT, but at the rate the cars were doing wall dances, it wasn't going to happen.

Yup, I raced a blown alky camaro/ big tire car

He had a smaller blower so i gave him the hit to the tree....then got him by a few on the big end. He put his ---- 6 feet in the air off the line, it was a bad --- race!

There were a bunch of guys there betting on the race, that how the pot got so big. I made $500 on it so, that made the trip with hotel - break even.

I was told there was a lot of videos of this race...i guess we'll see if anybody posts them.

You were sort of right…… She won…… but I made the fastest pass yet in the SRT….13.80…. If I would have lifted I would have won! …..Wahoo!..... Looks like I’m buying dinner….. White castles here we come! ..ummm sliders….. Just kidding….

After she made he first pass in the car, she had the “I broke it look on her face” when I got back to the pits …. I was like oh no….. She’s quite brutal on cars I tell ya…hehe….. I’m thinking we need to go back to Norwalk where I can be in the car with her….. After we fixed it I tried to figure out how it happened…. Still scratching my head!
