hey guys,
ive been doin alot of work on the daytona and it should be done by the end of next week or so. since were going to start the engine up still on jackstands i was wondering if i should give the engine a little break in milage before i push it.
heres the current items on the car that were either added, or changed.
1. 2.5" downpipe, no cat, flowtech glasspack, and 90degree bend out the side
2. replaced 2 1/4" swingvalve with 2 1/2"
3. changed air inlet position from 90 degrees to flat.
4. new intake manifold with 52mm throttle body, t2 injecorts and fpr.
5. new exhaust manifold drilled and tapped with a egt probe.
6. volvo 740 intercooler with 2.5" piping from racingsolutions.com
7. new headgasket and intake/exhaust gasket
8. new rear main seal.
9. new clutch and resurfaced flywheel
10. 3" intake pipe and new filter
11. synthetic motor oil
12. new shocks/struts
13. new pads and rotors for front/back.
14. new t2 shelby computer
15. new o2 sensor
last time i replaced the head gasket i gave it about 30 miles untill i opened it up, but at the time the clutch was slipping uber bad, and the rear brakes were still locked on.
im guessing i should wait a little longer this time so i can allow the ecu to adjust? i dont know?
feedback please! :)
