First gear was pretty much all wheel spin/wheel hop. I tried feathering the clutch but it’s hard to get the turbo to spool and it pretty much just bogs. I didn’t play around with tire pressures any, there were at about 32 psi. Still not too bad for bone stock…my 60’ time tells the story.

Impressive - but you also went to Lapeer and that track is somewhat up hill at the end. Do they still have the drop off around the 60' mark?

Wow! Nice! How many miles do you have on it?

102 trap in a csrt4 bone stock? wow. i am very happy to see that, thats a low 13 second car with just a set of slicks. please tell us you beat that gn.

Heck, that's a pretty good 60 for lapeer. I would always drive by there to attend machine gun shoots, but I never went because of all the stories I heard about the track conditions.

She was sleeping at the line big time, but that car was running mid 11's.

The condition at Lapeer is terrible. I can get a better launch on the street than at that track.

I have about 13,000 miles on the car right now.

Next time I plan on going to a better track (next summer), play with tire pressures, and try a three foot launch by brake torquing to spool it up and try and feather the clutch to limit wheel spin.

A few people have run 13.8s bone stock. They also had about 15-20 psi on the front tires and 40-45 psi in the rear.

Not trying to turn this into a preaching thread, just steering you away from running under 25psi on street radials. You will lose your contact patch and ride on the shoulders.

Back on topic though, those are VERY impressive times! :thumb: I think with a set of slicks there's no reason you could not hit 13.4's to 13.3's.

what diameter wheels come on these csrt4's? do they make a drag radial that size? thats a good way to go rather than airing down a stiff sidewall tire and pucking the center as Dave points out.

if they offered an automatic in a csrt4 i'd seriously consider one for a daily driver.

Very impressive numbers for stock.

19" are stock on the CSRT4, and they don't make drag radials that big.

I'd find the optimal tire pressure setting by running a line of chalk across the tire and driving several feet. You'll be able to see where the contact is. Dropping it low enough to the point where weight is only placed on the shoulders of the tire will depend on tire width vs. wheel width and weight on that wheel. At a stand still it may ride on the shoulders, but during acceleration and weight is transferred to the back, the full tire may contact.

Even things learned by being a off-road Jeep fool can help in other areas!

I did not know that! Learn something new everyday. :thumb: 18's are the biggest drag radials they make. How small of a wheel can you guys fit over those giant brakes?
