Car needs a clutch, transmission and..a turbo rebuild !

But other than that it runs great! Finally got most of the gremlins out of my car and drove it around for 50 miles without any BIG problems. I found that the clutch (spec Stage 3) gives up the ghost at 5 psi of boost from the Holset. Time to install my Audi hybrid clutch!

The Tranny sounds like it would be a rock crusher if it was given a choice. The trans was making so much noise it would set off my knock meter! BIG red blinky lights and lotsa noise from the trans scared the piss out of me at first. And the I realized it was not detonation. I am still not sure which one is better or worse to have.

The turbo is smoking a little and needs to be rebuilt but, at least it doesn't make wierd noises! Wait, it does! It sounds like a big fan with a bad bearing spinning down (or up ) when it makes the transition to boost or vacuum. Does anyone with a holset have this noise? I have inspected the turbo and there is not housing contact, but i am going to rebuild it and inspect closer.

Any input would be appreciated!
