View Full Version : Stock Cal Repository

Here's all of the stock/MP cals I have. If you have a cal not listed, please post it up. Maybe we can make this THE resource for all of our stock cals.
I propose that we follow a specific naming convention so that we don't get cals mixed up and/or double posted. I know it will be tough to find once this thread starts getting full, but I think we should try to keep the reposts to a minimum.
I currently use the format : year_displ_type_trans_ID_[special].bin (The 'special' is optional for MP or DC cals).
For example - 88_22_t1_atx_123_MP.bin
The ID is the last 3 digits of the PN on the chip. The number on the outside of the housing is often different. Especially if the computer is a reman or an MP part. You can also get the ID from the .bin itself. It's the 1st 2 bytes of a LM cal and the 3rd/4th bytes in a SMEC/SBEC cal.
Also, post the table or calx files with the zip whenever possible.

Here's '87...
EDIT 10/18/10: Added the 078 Shelby Lancer 2.2 T2 Auto cal, updated all of the T2 table files to be MP Tuner compatible. T1 are still the old style table files, sorry.
EDIT 7-9-11 Brian Bucar - Added the 87 T2 .inj injector scale file for use with MPTuner 1. Copy it into the folder where your 87T2 stock calibration is and rename it the same as the .bin file and then open it and edit the first line to read the same location on your hard drive where the .bin file is.

'89 2.5 t1 files...
I could've sworn I had the '89 T1 ATX MP cal as well. I'll have to look for it.
EDIT: Added 2 files. 135 and 529. The 529 file appears to be for cold weather/Cananda. It has no A/C and the cold start tables are slighty changed from the US-Spec cals.
EDIT: the 353 cal is actually the ATX MP Cal. I updated the data set accordingly. Also added some new stock cals.
EDIT: Completely new .tbl files compatible with MP Tuner. 100% complete and the same naming conventions as T-SMEC.

I just posted a complete update to the '89 2.5 T1 files. All new table files, 100% complete and compatible with MP tuner. In case you want to compare, or if you just don't want to use T-SMEC. I'm not positive, but I think these will work for MAP scaling, but not for injector scaling. The needed info for injector scaling cannot be stored in the .tbl file...
Look on page 1 for the '89 2.5 files...

rob - if an .inj file is manually created (or copied from tsmec and then change the address locations) you should be able to scale for injectors. when a bin is loaded mptuner will look for the .inj file and, if found, populate the injector scaling table with it.

No, 078 is the cal ID. It's an 87 T2 LM cal.
The SBEC files will get updated table files next. SBEC-II is still a ways off...

Just posted an update to the '91 T3 files. I now have a complete table file for the T3 (product of the relo source project)...

Probably a dumb question, but these files are all compatible with MP Tuner v2, correct?

If they aren't, MP Tune V2 can convert them so that they are.

Only if there's a .tbl file included with the binary. These are literally the cals as pulled from the original chips.
MP Tuner's main purpose is to edit the source code that I created from reverse-engineering these binary files. Though, it also has the capability to edit the binary, this will be limited by the content of the .mpt file associated with the binary.
Even if there is a .tbl file, and MP Tuner can convert it to the .mpt format, you won't be able to edit everything. My .tbl files were never 'complete'. Not all of the tables and constants are identified and therefor MP Tuner won't be able to corretly scale these for MAP or injectors. I would recommend using them for reference only.
The Turbonator template files based on these binaries are in fact complete.
