The first day we brought home my Bro's 91 2.5 Shadow ES, we threw a spare rad/IC, graingered 12PSI and it was a mover. Amazing the difference even a stock IC makes. Looks like the start of a great project:thumb: I like the highline seats with the embroidery, Bro's car didn't get those:o

well its a low budge project it wasnt runing when i bought it, (no power to coil) fixed that got it timed a bit and it ran for a bought 10 seconds with no oil press, tryed another 10 second fumble around still no oil,so im gunna toss a tbi pump in that i had laying around and hope nothings pooched, the guy that had it befor me put a slider head in it or so i was told, havent poped the valve cover off yet to look but timeing might be tricky as its a round tooth bott end and was a 87 came gear, but i put a 90s tooth on it i think timeing will be a little fun,the guy that had it had a 90 t-belt on a 87 cam gear:clap:a and the dis cap on backwards:clap: and the guy that had it befor him (matt) had it a little hopped up and ran a 13.988 in it. now its close to stock with a gerret log style turbo and t2/t3 cluch should be a fun dd when its running. only 200 bucks and a tone -o- parts with it:eyebrows:

sludged up oil pan? maybe thats the no il pressure situation. or a bad oil pressure sender. did you try a mechanical oil pressure gauge?

you gonna fix the rot?

nice ride.

that sucks. hopefully a pump will do it and the bearings arent hosed.

so..... the pump is fine just had to prime it it runs good, allthoe the first test drive was an epic fail, lost almost all oil as it would seem the front seal is compleatly F#@%!@ and i couldent make any boost as i discovered the waistgate arm was off and i dont have 2nd gear. the good news is the the car came with a spair 523 ind im sure i can do the seal as long as i can get a hold of a gear puller:nod:

oh yeah... .i like to take the plugs out, unhook the distributor signal connectors (the grey and the black plugs), dump a little oil in each cyl and crank the motor over till the pressure comes up. takes alot of load off of the bearings while priming.

other way is to take the timing belt off and spin the intermediate shaft with a drill.

thats how i did it is with a drill and a modified wood drill bit, and as for the tranny, i have buds that will help out with it i converted my current dd shadow(tbi) to 5speed with A LOT of help from overlordsshadow, but i always like to have someone ther that has done it just in case i miss something. and same goes for the front seal i helped with one in a turbo tona, and put the new one on my tbi dut in not sure how to press the old one out and i recall seeing overlordsshadow use a socket to punch a new one in but i think i have a good idea as to what has to be done and i always have this place to ask ;)

also on the drive i noticed at the end it was runnin a little hot, my dd has the fact temp gauge and an aftermarket one and its hit about 200-210F for temp and id say thats what the turbo car hit the other day but didnt blow any smoke so hope its ok, think its mopar head bolts and felpro permatorqe head gasket, hope it will hold under 8 to 10 or 12 pounds, i sold a felpro to my buddy with the tona and he has had it up 2 12 pounds and its still together, but he has arp hed studs, so i hope everything will be cool:(
