1986 Daytona sunroof drains, Where do they go?!?!?

Hey,

Started the process of getting this pig back on the road. When I stripped the interior, I noticed that the sunroof drains going down the A & B pillars. Being curious, I stuck my hand down the B pillar but I could not find where is exited the metal. :confused2: Seem they just hang down in the rockers.

Is this true and if if is, how does the water drain?? I would think this is a crappy design that added to rust. :banghead:

Any ideas on how to re-route them to exit the vehicle?

Yep, they just flow down to the rocker area. There is some drainage in these rockers providing you drive or park on a steep incline.:p You could tear apart the interior and extend them through the rockers if your really worried about it. Chargers are the same way. IMO, if your sunroof weatherstrip is in good condition there will be minimal water that gets down these drains.
