What turbo is this?

I was given this turbo,what it is , and final what size of motor can it be used with?:confused2:
I 'm guessing a it from a power stroke.

Its in good shape would like to use if i can some were.

I would like a better shot of the third picture. What is that control valve there or what is that? It's a Garrett, btw with an .84 housing. :D Stating the obvious. :p

Interesting though. The air inlet looks to be the same size as the outlet. Not sure how common that is or what difference that makes, but I think ours are bigger inlet and smaller outlet.

I'll take a stab at it and say it's an older (non-vnt) PowerStroke turbo, not much more info than that, sorry.

I put a mitsu beside it for size comparison
it looks like an exhaust brake valve ist not hooked up to the waste gate .

Looks like a first generation Powerstroke turbo.

You might try Frank, he's got a bunch of stock turbo maps, might have this one. I asked him about some before SDAC, but I wasn't in desperate need and he was busy so I never got them. Maybe you'll have better luck, especially since it's only one turbo, unlike my request that had 3-4 different turbos.

if i could just find which family it is from (ie to3 , to4 ......) im sure i could find a map for it.

If you go to Garret's website you can download/look at their turbos for the PowerStroke etc, I believe they list the family in the literature. I thought I had it here, but not so much! Should be a GT, fairly large, non-ball, but that's as much as I can remember... Sorry.

Thats an exhaust brake not a jake brake, not the same thing at all ;)
