I have been asked a lot in the last 3 years to make a direct fit anti-swaybar for the 1989-90 cars (with the dual swivel a-arms). The one PolyBushings.com makes for the 1984-88 a-arms and the one that fits the cast arm cars, will not fit the 1989-90 cars. This last month I finally WORKED ON IT!

I have a working bar, and am ready to produce more if you want one.
This is a 1-1/4 inch diameter bar with endlinks at the a-arm area.
All attaching hardware and polyurethane bushings are included.
Price is $199 plus shipping.
Shipping ranges from about $21 to $36, depending where in the states you are.

Let me know if you want to order one.

Since all the 84-90 Factory sway bars are the same shape, why not just make all your bars like your 89-90 bars???

The endlink style that fits the 84-88 will not fit the 89-90.
I will test to see if this 89-90 bar will fit the 84-88, good idea.

Yes I know your 84-88 style bar won't fit the 89-90 stuff.

But If you take a 1984 FACTORY sway bar you can bolt it right up to the 89-90 Kmember and LCA's and vice versa because they didn't change the shape from the factory of the Sway bar from 1984 to 1990. It's only the 91+ factory bars with the Cast LCA's that are different from the FACTORY.

So if your new 89-90 setup won't hit the 89-90 LCA's through their full range of motion then they will work on the 84-88 cars as well or should. You should really only have to make 2 shapes of bars to cover all the TD's from 84-94.

Tested it, it will not work on the 84-88 cars. Well, it fits and would function correctly but the hole in the a-arm is in a different place. Most will not want to drill a new hole.

So does this solve the issue with the swaybar interferrence on the 89 up K-frame?

Yes, that is why I did a whole new design, to make sure it works with the 89 K-frame and a-arms..

I have 3 of these NEW designed bars in stock for the 89-90 casts with stamped steel a-arms.

What advantages do they offer over the stock bar?

The factory bar has four bushings, two of these in the a-arms.
This bar has endlinks at the a-arm connecting point.
This lets the a-arms move up and down without binding on the a-arm bushing.
It is also made of 4140 spring steel, not sure what the factory one is made of,
but possibly mild steel. Even the Addco brand bars are only made of mild steel,
unless they changed lately.
The factory one tappers to a smaller size in the arms area, this one is 1-1/4 all
the way, making it a true 1-1/4 inch bar.
Another nice thing, because it has endlinks, if you ever need to work on just one
side of the car's suspension or axle, you can disconnect just that one side to do it.
With the factory bar, usually you need to disconnect both sides and then swing the
bar down out of the way.
Ever remove the bolts on the swaybar bracket in the a-arms?
What a pain to get to, and it is in a place where dirt seems to gather making it
so you need to dig dirt out just to get to the bolt heads.

If you have a 1-1/4 inch factory bar, you may not find a big difference. It
is for people that really drive their cars and want the best handling they can
have.

I know that the end-link design lends itself to increased suspension articulation as the shock/strut/balljoint don't have to fight the factory swaybar control arm bushings which are on the wrong axis....especially if it's a dual pivot K-frame control arm setup which does not have that awful stub strut setup.

I'm on it and will be ordering one up ASAP....christmas time is tight on money unfortunately
