ok i have a 86 s/c and i will be pushing the limit on my stock t1 motor.it's port and polished (Gasket Matched) head exhaust intake +40's 3bar map 2.5 exhaust stage 5 computer from fwd performance which im still deciding on the stage 3 glhs or go to stage 5? 18-22 psi of boost gforce drag radials and a kevlar clutch from TUs.what do u guys think of the setup is she going to be a bad a** car or will she be a turd

That's a very solid setup. Your bottom end will hold up as long as you do not detonate. What turbo/intercooler setup are you using?? That plays one of the most important roles here.

wrx intercooler and t2 turbo and the only thing so far that went wrong was turbo and clutch which ani't that bad considering how hard i drive my car:)have u ever had your 89 sprit to the track?

:D :D :D ok guys i went with the stage 3 glhs comp from fwd and i have +40s gasket matched head intake exhaust stock garrett turbo wrx intercooler 2.5in exhaust 18-22psi a-525 trans and t2 setup what do u guys think she will run :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :) :) :) :)

nothing...

A525 will break down faster you can finish that 1/4 mile.

you know the old batman tv show, where him and robbin would punch people and the *SMACK* and *POW* would flash on the screen...

it will break like that but withought grown men dancing around in skin tight leotards.

A 525 is going to have a rough day at 20PSI, even in an SC. They will only hold about 250HP max for very long from what I have read.

You might want to go a head and start shoping around for a different trans. Most anything else would be able to hold the power of your setup.

You never know, we could always arrange for the men dancing in tights.
Seriously though, you're pushing your luck with the 525, they'll hold up well to some minor mods But with what you've done to your car, you've already pulled the pin, now you're just waiting for the grenade to go off.

what about a555 or 520?

a 555 with an endplate would be all you would ever need. the 520 would probably be up to the task too.
