2008 TD Mexican meet !

Hey fellas !!... Remember our Mexican TD meetings ? hehe

Well we want to give you all another invitation. As you can notice we have been doing these meetings since 2003 if i remember correctly... well we have more time meeting each other, but oficially in bigger meetings since 2003.

So we will like to invite to you all to our national meeting, this time will be in Guadalajara, a very important city in Mexico (http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/2065/tdmeetingda1.th.jpg (http://img329.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tdmeetingda1.jpg))

Everytime in the national meeting we have a great time, everybody is running, sharing information, drinking, changing slicks, rising boost etc !.. its really great for us, and once you go to a national meeting like this you will never miss another .. trust me ! :D

Maybe you guys have too many doubts, the wheater, the time traveling, the cost of the trip, the hotel, even the language will be a consideration, but once you see all the action here it all really worth it, we have anything you want, from a cheap hotel to a big and nice one, you can fly from any city in the US to Guadalajara directly, the airport is near to me, and about the language we are a lot that are learning english ;)

All the action will be on Sunday Nov 16th. actually we will starting on Friday, If you want to you can join us the whole weekend, but the most important day is on Sunday, when almost every TD'er of Mexico will be running from 10am (EST) to 11pm :drinking:

I like the later ones... take an 88 Reliant K coupe, put the Caravelle front facia on it, give it a Turbo II Intercooled engine with a stick, Recaro type seats like Daytona or LeBaron coupe, some special rims, power everything including sunroof, four wheel disc brakes, the Daytona/LeBaron digital dashboard, boost gauge next to the rear defroster switch...

I would give up almost anything to have a pristine example of a Magnum K... stupid idiot Chrysler never sold them in the USA for whatever foolish reason... :(

The K-car named Magnum in Mexico is a very interesting car, it was the first car with turbo in Mexico (mid 80's) it has recaro bucket seats, it was fuel injected when almost every car in that time was carburated... not to mention it was fast !!

Seems like we have a fever of magnums (at least on my city), almost every TD'er has one, even me I have one Magnum, please take a look at this pictures:

Well somebody has to correct me, but I think there are no Spirit R/T with leather seats, there are Lebaron's, and NewYorkers (A-body) with leather but not Spirits...
Phantom's are another history, I guess all the phantoms are with leather seats, pretty sexy car IMO.

Some Spirit's R/T are 2.5 SOHC 8valve... some others are 2.2 DOHC 16valves. same thing for the Phantom R/T.



But they also got the 2.5L with... 604!!!!

I hope that practice didn't last long... 604 sucks.
I have to second that, I dont like the 604, its a lady when you have some power on your engine, and very expensive to repair.

Some of them are std (16V DOHC with A568) and some others are auto with A413.

Yea ! whenever you want, I live in Guadalajara (5hours nex to Guanajuato, 2 hours from Aguascalientes)

Actually every year I go to Guanajuato to see the WRC championship and I have family in Aguascalientes :nod:

Just worked it out, its 6250 miles round trip, so at 16 mpg in the van, $2.50 a gallon, thats $1000, the R/T if it gets 30 mpg, thats $521 in fuel, :lol:

I must respectfully disagree with this statement. There are now Neon guys putting almost 500hp through them and running LOW 11's and 10's(looking for 9's) using minimal internal mods and an aftermarket controller. They are even saying that it works out CHEAPER than a built 3-speed to handle the same power and got he same speed and the 604 does it without breaking! :amen: The 604 only has two faults...the stock controller and the OD can't handle major power, but who cares!? The race SHOULD be over by before you need OD!

Steve ran 10 flat on a junkyard a604 with converter. That was with boost turned down from normal and the converter too loose.

I have always been waiting for a controller so the tranny could take itself out of crappydom
