i was wanting to do a map bleed like how its explained on the dodge garage, cause i would like to boost around 16psi, one thing i cant seem to find is the restrictor orifice that is needed to go in line with it, tried grainger they couldnt find one?? if i dont use a restrictor will i just get a CEL and no issues from that?? also if doing a mapbleed is that basically controlling boost also or will i still need to keep my current Gvalve hooked up for boost control??

You will still need the grainger to control boost, otherwise you will be limited to the stock boost settings by the computer.
If you go with a map bleed, I would make a grainger type setup where it bleeds off pressure at a certain PSI so that you can run a little higher.
In all honesty, I would just stick to 14PSI or so rather than running the bleed for an extra lb. or two. It won't make that much of a difference in power, but you will be a lot safer.
What instrumentation do you have to monitor your AFR? I would take care of that first before I worried about going up above the limits of the 2 bar map. The WBO2s are getting so much cheaper than an engine rebuild that it doesn't make sense not to run one. I had a shortblock done a couple of years ago and it cost me about $1100. $200 is cheap insurance on something like that.

im running a airfuel gauge off the 02, i was gonna get this one http://turbosunleashed.com/shop/index.php?cPath=42 cause i was told it was much easier to read. i have another grainger valve i just bought. and was gonna attach the T fitting to it and run the mapbleed but cant find a restrictor orifice withing the sixe recommended. my fuel system is upgraded with +20's and a 255lph pump , adjust fuel psi reg, and i am running a double stacked IC, and a garrett T2 , larger swing valve, high psi WG and 3" exhaust, stage 1pcm and br9es plugs , msd coil and wires. you dont think it would be safe/worth it to go to 16psi??

Oh, I did not realize that! You should be able to run close to 20PSI depending on how well you flow, and how well tuned it is. As always, take it up one PSI at a time and keep an eye on the gauges.

can i hook up the grainger up without the orifice though, basically just attach a T and splice it inline off the map?? cause this is how it says from the dodge garage - put together a short piece of vacuum line and a restrictor.
WARNING!! The restrictor orifice must be .029" to .050" A small orifice, like your stock one, will cause the "check engine' light to come on. without the restrictor i guess i just get a CEL no ill side effects from it though?

That is how it was in my omni when I purchased it back when.
ETA: I can't make my little art work on here.

ok, ill try it , now if i start out and i open the bleed up to much say to were it would let me boost to 20 or whatever, as long as the boost controller is set to 16 im good?? meaning if that bleed is opened to much does it cause a problem?

Not really. If you are bleeding off to much, the map will think that it is running less boost (I know that's the idea right?). In the extreme this could cause the timing to be greatly increased for the given boost and cause detonation. You are best to crack it open a little at a time while tightening down your gainger a little at a time.

If you bleed off too much, it will run leaner all the time so you set the bleed to just above your desired PSI. That way, you aren't leaner. I ran bleeds for 2-3 years, they work well.
