I would say not going to happen but it depends on the weight of the mini

If you're looking at doing it for one time or twice, I'm sure you can...
Probably need major weight reduction.

Very very hard to do, your better off getting a bigger turbo but if you want to do it once, you might be ok. Also weight plays a huge factor, mine weighed 3200lbs without me at the time. If you lighten it, of course it will be easier.
I ran a 14.1 using a TIII turbo-all the boost it could put out, 22 psi, basically stock engine-mild porting, 2.5 inch DP, large body cat, full 3inch system and drag radials, stock cal with +20's, cold night.

You can do it but I think a larger turbo will be easier and cheaper. If you port the head and run either a ported intake or 2 piece, that will be alot easier.
Auto or standard. If auto, you will need a better TC and you should do the basic toughen up mods.
Will it be a daily driver? An S60 will get you there or step up to a Hybrid if you really want to make power.

i just got my mini so im not real familiar with it yet or even what it can run now, let alone turbo knowledge in general, lol! but having owned a few N/a cars that have hit 13's i would love to get this van there. what mods would it take to get a stock 2.5 mini into the 13's as a DD? my interior is pretty crappy so i plan on gutting most the interior except the front seats and dash, already has A/c delete ?

Just curious how much more do the vans weigh than a Daytona? I was hoping I could put my car mid 13's with the stock turbo. I guess Ill find out.

what would it take 250-260ish to the wheels and some weight red??

Vans are heavy and have the front end of a brick wall. Mine is fully loaded and weighs 3400lbs without me in it. 236 whp got me 14.1 at 3200 lbs and drag radials, cutting a 2.1 60ft time.
If you could drop the weight to under 2800ish lbs, you should be able to get a van into the mid 13's with a stock Garret turbo and some serious tuning. For the effort and the fact your maxing out the turbo, I would honestly step it up to a S60 or hybrid. Of course, porting wouldn't hurt either. Just remember, if your using stock, cast pistons, one tuning mistake and you have 1-4 ashtrays.

At 12-14 psi, not with a stock turbo, see my reply in your other thread.
If that is true, then 20 psi, with tuning and some traction, should get you into the 13's, how deep, who knows.

yeah see its been a few yrs but i called forward motion which is rite up the road from me and the guy said he couldnt rember all the upgrades done to the van but he rembers it making 220-230 to the wheels and im pretty sure he said 12 or 14psi, cause i think my PCM is just a stage 1 from the #"s on it

If you get some big slicks and can really, really hook it shouldn't be to much of a problem to run 13s. The part in the red will be the hard part.

Does/did FM make computers? I would take it apart, easy to do and see if the computer is socketed and if it has a name on the chip?

im not sure if they do or not, . take this apart? sits up on the drivers corner and is connected to the airfilter, which im curious about, is this similiar to a MAF ?? i really dont like the lil panel filter being used on this setup but im assuming it has to stay that way cause the PCM is connected to it looks like?

Looks like an MP unit, more timing, bit more boost still has boost cutout at 14.7 psi I believe. We dont' have MAF sensors, but Mopar pulled air thru it to keep it cool but we've all removed the ducting with no problems.

In the winter, I run a 190, summer, 180 both with a 1/16 bleed hole. Always run a stat. We also run manual switches for traffic and drag racing as the stock fan setting is too high. You should have the computer hooked back up for control in case you forget and have the manual switch for a backup or if sitting in traffic, etc.

whats the best way to runa filter on these, like it is or...? ive seen some pics of the tube coming off the turbo then a cone filter sitting exposed in the engine compt?? and yeah it still cuts out at 14.7 cause ive hit it trying to get the BC issues worked out

Some run a cone filter right off the turbo, which isn't good as it pulls in the hot engine bay air and makes the IC work harder. Try to route it up front. I made this cold air box and cut the hood a bit. That was a few years ago, since then, I've cleaned up the box a bit, ;)
