Coil spring isolators for Daytona's, Shadow's, k-car's, etc ARE available in rubber from different places. BUT I have been asked to make them in polyurethane. Is this something YOU would buy?
I do make them for the Dodge Intrepid type cars (LH) (2nd gen) and they are
a little pricey. But the K-based car ones are simple compared to LH so
they shouldn't be more than the rubber ones sell for, although I still need to price them to see.

Here are the LH car ones I make.......

Let me know what you think!!

If they were similar in cost I would certainly go through you. The rubber ones get to be in really rough shape in no time. I would be very willing to try a product that has a better life expectancy.

ETA: I voted yes I will buy them, but I wouldn't buy them to change anything I had right now. I would just wait until the next time I so my struts and shocks.

My Koni's and Eibachs don't have isolators in the front. I don't have any problems with them making noise. The rear's I have the original one's in cause they were ok. I've seen some that were trashed though. It'd have to be a very soft poly as the rubber get's an impression from the spring after a while and helps to lower the car.

This one looks REAL close to the front lower k-car one. Can't say I'm in love with blue though.

I'm definately in! it's a shame to have the whole suspension on poly and not have the rear isolators too.

I am planning on rebuilding the front suspension on my 87 Daytona in the near future so if they are available at a similar cost to the rubber I would definitely buy a set. The big question is how many people actually change them or even have the foresight to order them before they start the job. Also what would the benefits over the standard rubber be?

Durability, last a long time.

I would have bought them last year, johnny, when I was actually working on my project car. Already bought moog units, and even though the poly would cost a bit more, I still would have "sprung" for them (pun intended)

Maybe make them a tad bit thinner, as they do indeed form under pressure (1/2" maybe deform?) heck, maybe even the poly will deform so as well?

The ricer in me:thumb: would love the blue

The blue would actually kill it for me... And my wife says I have no sense of taste for aesthetics:p

Got mine too, asked the kids this morning if they wanted a chocolate doughnut for breakfast. They were not amused when an isolator showed up on the plates:p What, I thought it was funny:lol:

I ordered a set just now. BTW it says $8 to ship 2 items on your website. Not complaining...just letting you know.:)

Money sent!

This was a great Idea. It looks like the isolators are a bit shorter...so the ride height will be the same as some worn out rubber ones? Hope so.

They would make a good chew toy!

If they are non toxic you should consider making a heavier duty one for extra strong chewers. My pup will be happy.
