Guys, what rpm do you see full boost at on a stock T-II 2.2 engine with T-I Garrett turbo? My friend's car is hitting fully boost at a dismal 3,500 rpms and that's with a g-valve. Something is amiss..........

Have you checked his cam and ignition timing? compression test? thats way too high, more like Stage III turbine territory, :(

Define full boost? What PSI?
And what gear your testing in...

2nd gear, 3rd gear..... doesn't matter.
12psi or even 15 psi.
I tried telling them to check cam timing and look things through and get a solid foundation. So again, what is the rpm for full boost on a stock T-II? (15 psi)

Stock exhaust?

stock head? I know I had a g-head somehow put on mine with swirl head pistons so I had to advance the ignition timing, because my compression was really low.
Edit, this was for a log t-1 car though better read the post more carefully:p

Should be around 2500 rpm.

2.5L, stock head, 5th gear, Daytona Shelby, TII Garrett with 2.5 inch swingvalve, G-valve...
2100rpm - 2300rpm (digital tach) to get 13psi

I'd say 3grand for a stock 2.2 T2 with a grainger and stock exhaust. I had basically that setup in my 87, but with a catless 2.5 side exit straight pipe exhaust. And that was about when it'd hit. I had to launch the car around 4500rpms to get it out of the hole on street tires.

Car is a factory 2.2 T-II with only 81,000 miles.
I did some minor portwork to the head, and only other mods are a catless 2-1/2" exhaust, Talon BOV and cone filter. Stock, unported exhaust manifold.
I figure it should be 2,800rpms.... sound about right?
The power isn't quite what I expect from the car at 15psi, either, compared to my old VNT at 14.5psi.

What's the controller again? MBC or computer, and what MBC if it is an MBC? The little five buck MBC I bought of eBay was nice until I actually started making changes.
Double check for vac leaks then double check your double check. Finally triple check the double check of the double check. I had a stock intake to waste gate line with a leak. It took my dumb a$$ about a year to find it.
Sounds a little high to me though, especially if you are checking in multiple gears.
