..That I saw on the freeway this morning, I just had to take a pic or two of it. I tried to get one of the stick on hood scoop but we got separated in traffic before I could. It was a jewel belive me, he had that red interior paint all over the dash and steering wheel and...

EDIT: Kinda hard to see but that is a real TURBO badge on there:lol:

Hard to see in the pic but it was so obvious in person I wonder if he has even fooled one person as to his 'conversion'

That freeway is the I5 northbound just at the LA border, Downey/Santa Fe Springs or so...

The rear bumper was the first thing that gave it away to me.

OOOOH! how much profit could we make selling those "turbo" kits on Ebay?

"Convert your stock Neon to a Turbo for the low price of $49.99."

Not nearly as cool as the handful of guys that have swapped SXT front and rear bumpers onto their SRT-4's:)

Yeah there is a couple running around here as well. Plus alot of the srt styled sxt's that came from the factory with the srt styled front end, dual exhaust with muffler and a shorter spoiler.

a guy a few houses down from me has the srt4 knock off, he got it new from the dealer like that, his doesnt say turbo but has the same hood and spoiler and some cuda stripes down the side of it like a srt4,loL! theres a guy around here with a older civic HB, he has a huge FMIC on it and its not even hooked up when you look at it up close,loL!

Those were the "SRT Design" option cars. They have the dual exhaust tips and rear bumper from the R/T and a similar front bumper but it doesn't have the "whisker" extra two slots that came after the original design that was on the concept car. They also used the same SRT-4 taller wing. There a bunch of them around here.

They would be cooler if they at least put the Magnum motor in them.

I so miss bombing down that section of freeway. It's fun to do 140 in the fast lane by the gaurdrail at 2am :)

I guess then you would have got the R/T. You get looks or semi-performance but not both. :confused2:

A friend here at work has a nice black '04 R/T. It's a nice commuter car.

First time I saw the "SRT Design" 300C I thought the guy had cloned an SRT (mostly). I noticed the missing big brakes before I noticed that the SRT badge includes the word design in very small letters:(

I saw an above mentioned black neon R/T today at the factory down the road from where I work.. Not too shabby.. Do an SRT swap and it would be a nice ride and somewhat of a sleeper.

Our Plant Manager has a black SRT Design 300C as his car currently. It looks great. He said it was horrible in the snow last winter though. He then borrowed a truck from the Test Garage when it got bad.
