I have been looking at ebay cheapys around 50-60$ Is there a difference? My budget is tight, I am a college student:o
My turbo is a T04 housing garrett. Comressor side is .60 exhuast housing is .81. I know nothing of external waste gates, other than the fact that I am going to have to use one:p
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Some guys are running the Ebay specials with no problems. I was going to go that route but got a wicked deal locally on a new Deltagate.
I don't think I'd go bigger than 38mm.

HUGE DIFFERENT.
It the quality, build, and testing that is what your going pay for in a good wastegate.
Do not get a cheap waste gate. The diaphragms are the parts that go out in them. Any heat and they melt. I have seen more than a few go out, causing over boost, and catastrophic failure.
For about 150 bucks more you can get a good wastegate such as a tial or turbonetics. JGS also makes a good 38/40mm wastegate.
The Chinese parts are pretty much just thrown together from what I have seen. No quality control, no refunds, no support. If it doesn't work, then you F-ed.
I think a 38mm should be fine. I ran a 38mm tial on my 5.2liter dakota, and I didnt get any boost creep.

Deltagates are crap, I've seen several burn up. Get a Tial.

Interesting, I know a few users with no problems and I myself are using one, albeit the newer model,

Maybe they fixed them then, but a few years ago they were junk.
