Ok from what I've read in various places I will need to run +20 injectors. Has anyone had any first hand experience with this? What did you do and what issues did you run into. Help please BTW this is an 87 shelby z
Thanks
Kevin

Best: Have a calibration made to better suit the combination.

This will work, though not to full potential: Set base timing at 6-8* instead of 12*. Run +20 injectors. The 2.2 calibration has a more agressive ignition timing curve which isn't needed on the 2.5 and can lead to detonation pretty easily; that's why you dial back the base timing.

I ran the above combo for a winter, then switched to +40s with an AFPR(been running 4 years now). Run just fine, though when it's real cold outside (single digits F) it feeds it too much fuel so you had better not kill the engine until it has some heat in it or it will flood.

This was in both my GLHS and my GLHT 2.5, +40s and a MP GLHS LM. 16 psi made 297-299 lb/ft about 2700 RPM and 200 whp around 5,000 rpm. Spool time with a stock garrett and 2.5" exhaust was awesome, in higher gears it could be giving 16 psi by 23-2400 rpm. In a light Lbody you didn't need to choose a gear, just can on it and go!

Worst case which could seriously damage stuff once it's in boost: Stock injectors, timing at 12*.

Thanks, yeah I just need a temp setup until I can get the +40's and a 3-bar cal. Just going to run at 12 lbs and set the timing as stated. I can deal with it running rich for a little while. I just need something setup so I can get out to monster mopar next month.

Just get a custom cal and dont risk it.
