I took a friend for a ride, hit 2nd gear and BOOM, no more forward gears but still has reverse. Looking at my schematics, I am thinking I broke the forward band. Am I right?

Sounds right, but autos scare me so I'm not sure...

One thing for certain, that blows!

Literally, oh well, luckily the trans has zippers. :o

Oh and better now than at the track tomorrow.

I sheered the shaft on the rear output shaft????? not sure what its called but its hooked up to the first transfer gear. Broke it cleanly?????????

Also fixed my rear clutch as the mod to fit 5 plates broke and installed the updated OBX washers, might as well.

Would you stick a 555 or a 568 in there already? Aren't you tired of 16 MPG yet? ;)

i did that on a stock 3.0/670 van once.. i couldn't believe it. seriously the thing makes less than 200lb ft of torque.

personally i think it has to be something with the metallurgy or some mistake in the manufacturing cuz lots of people are putting down a lot of power and NEVER break one.
