might buy a 80 honda cb750 what should I look for?

hey guys Ive recently wanted to buy a motorcycle and a 80 honda cb750 came into my price range, I will probably end up 'customizing' it since thats what the guys i work with do and they are trying to get into bikes. The bike doesnt run i was wondering if there are any common problems to look for, or if they have common failures on things, the guy says its been sitting for a while and 'probably needs a tune up'

Famous last words of anyone selling something with an internal combustion engine. I love it when people tell me stuff like that when I go look at vehicles. Never mind the bowling ball sized hole in the block.....lol.

by the time i talked to the guy to come look at it, it had been sold, o well, but now ive found a local 81 cb750f that runs for 1500 bucks, have to get a small loan for that, and my friend just mentioned of a 80's 750 nighthawk or something of that matter for sale at a local shop for real cheap, i will probably go look at that soon:eyebrows:
